PS3 MW2 patch help

I am having an issue adding patch files to the mw2 directory. I'm jailbroken on 4.81 dex and every time I add a patch.mp-ff file or whatever it is. The multiplayer won't load and my ps3 freezes. Can anyone help me.

Assuming the patches are for use with DEX and not CEX / REX systems, my question would be where did you get the patch from?

Some sites and YouTube authors are legit while others aren't, if I knew a bit more about the patches you're trying to use I may be able to help search for a solution.

Do I need to have a certain eboot or something. I have a debug eboot now.

Keep in mind I'm not a Dev, I don't own a Dex / Debug / Test unit etc so I'd mainly focus on which patch you're trying to use, where was it from and try to figure out why similar patches from the same source work or don't for others, etc.
