Yesterday we saw a brief guide covering PS3 Games with Older LIC.DAT Titles, and @ShadixAced shared a link HERE of a PlayStation 3 game compilation listing that can be injected with backups using PARAM.SFO license directory modifications with update patches running on OFW 4.75 through 4.81. (-8

If you want to prepare the specified games for the console on the console, then see below: The method, how to make the game work, is pretty simple. The game should have an official patch (and how else will we launch it from the internal disk?).

The patch is being unpacked, the contents of USRDIR, except for EBOOT.BIN and updated files (if any) are taken from the disk version. PARAM.SFO (from the disk) is edited. Change the Category from DG to HG and App Version to the patch version.

In detail about each game:

Hey guys, first of all, I'm new here and relatively new to PS3 hacking scene so I don't know a lot of things yet. I am going to try to inject Skate 3 one of these days, I'm thinking that because it was made relatively early in 2010 it could still work, also considering that Beyond Two Souls was made in 2013 and still worked. I don't know how to edit PARAM.SFO or even what that is but other than that, should I follow the standard procedure? (Updating the game, using TABR to inject etc)

I started downloading Skate 3 from the Russian forum linked but it's soooo slow. It will take forever. Can someone link me a place to download PS3 games in the format needed for this method? Or at least tell me what format's needed. Thanks.

The Russian forum link is the only place I know of to get pre-made PS3 OFW'd games from, but if someone knows of a faster place for them it would be great if you let us all know :)

2010+ games can be runned with the eboot from the demo but some games doesnt work or is only the demo almost the games that i tested (pes 17, spec ops the line, minecraft story mode the complete adventure, etc...)

I don't get this, can someone give a more clear tutorial on this game

thank you guys
i am able to work this out... this what i did
download 2 files using PSNstuff
NPEB90114 : demo
NPEB00052 : PSN full game

extract the 2 .PKG files using PKG viewer...

from NPEB90114... copy only the 2 files (EBOOT.BIN and SPUJOBS.SPRX) and paste (overwrite) these 2 files to NPEB00052 to its proper folder location.
...we are done in NPEB90114, you can now discard this Folder...

Now edit the PARAM.SFO in NPEB00052... change only the Title ID to NPEB90114 then save.
and ALSO change the folder name NPEB00052 to>>> NPEB90114

copy to TABR game folder... convert... inject...
hope this help someone...

UPDATE: So the game actually did manage to download but I have a problem. There's no PS3_GAME folder anywhere, only BLES00760 and NPEB00760. It's not inside of these two either...

The PS3_GAME folder is change to NPEB00760...

the game you downloaded is already converted and ready for injection.
just put those 2 folder in TABR "game" folder... then inject it

Guys, I have news for all of you. Ps3 has a file called PBD (Project database)

PDB (Project Database) files are used by the PS3 to specify tasks for the XMB to do. They are stored in /dev_hdd0/vsh/task/ in 4 byte hex directories (e.g. 00000001/, 001ABCD0/)

Each directory represents an task id and each task is defined by a couple of .pdb files. I believe pdb means package database, since the only place where these files appear is in /dev_hdd0/vsh/task and they seem to represent a .pkg download.

There will always be a 00000001/ directory with no .pkg file in it. I suppose it's there to represent another task the PS3 has to do (maybe the 'check for push downloads' for PSN+ users?), and I suggest never to mess with it.

Every other directory seems to represent a .pkg file that is being downloaded or has been downloaded (but not installed) through PSN. In each directory you should find the .pkg, a PNG image to show (filename ICON_FILE), and two or three .pdb files (d0.pdb and d1.pdb and an empty f0.pdb, which may or may not be there).

When there are unfinished/not installed (PS3 files, not for PSP or PSVITA) downloaded task, xmb/users/Turn Off System can appear the option to turn off the system automatically after background download.

I fixed the emoticons, the trick is to use the following tags around the text that generates them to stop the conversion:
