PS3 OFW 4.81 Backup Games Injection LICDIR Mods Listing and Guide

Yesterday we saw a brief guide covering PS3 Games with Older LIC.DAT Titles, and @ShadixAced shared a link HERE of a PlayStation 3 game compilation listing that can be injected with backups using PARAM.SFO license directory modifications with update patches running on OFW 4.75 through 4.81.

If you want to prepare the specified games for the console on the console, then see below: The method, how to make the game work, is pretty simple. The game should have an official patch (and how else will we launch it from the internal disk?).

The patch is being unpacked, the contents of USRDIR, except for EBOOT.BIN and updated files (if any) are taken from the disk version. PARAM.SFO (from the disk) is edited. Change the Category from DG to HG and App Version to the patch version.

I think that the Russian Ride game is corrupted or incomplete. I've saw 8.18 GB while mine is 7.8

+ DBZ BoZ is corrupted, the RAR file can't be read by 7-Zip.

Actually, CFW2OFW Helper did a update + LIC.DAT. The thing is I can't even see where it is.

I don't think so , you must do it manually ,specially the lic.dat file must have patch ID

maybe it's ripped only russian

about dbz you should open it with winrar not 7-zip cuz it's compressed with rar5 ext.

@PSXHAX , I combined this list and the other one to make a CFW2OFW Compatibility List on the devwiki. It's open for anyone to edit; it definitely needs some clarification on the "Exclusive methods" of some of them and a lot of them (from the other thread) didn't describe what the exclusive methods were.

I also tried to write the translated text in better English. I'm not sure how to implement colors on the chart, but I'll ask around and see if I can get green for non-exclusive methods, yellow for exclusive methods, and red for non-working ones (no non-working ones listed).

Hope this might help consolidate these lists and display it in a better format!

Edit: Also, if you make a frontpage post on this, all the games from the old list (not this post) are missing their BLES/BLUS Title IDs, so if anyone kind enough would do that, it'd be a great improvement

I launched burnout paradise on superslim 4.81, but language was RUS, game worked, i only changed app ver to 1.90 in PARAM.SFO i dont know if it did impact, rest was just inject

I can confirm Burnout Paradise fully working on superslim 4.81 , english version BLES00455, played 20 min, didnt have any problems, what i did is:

1. Download english version - BLES00455 https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B1YLtz-QqHjwZkk1Q0k3Wk1TUWc&export=download

2. download patches 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90 and copy all content from patches to game start from lowest to 1.90 expect file PARAM.SFO leave this file from game itself, and edit it, change run from Hard disc and app version 1.90

3. than just inject game with backup and launch it, for me its worked on superslim 4.81, any free game on this console is nice

I dont think that neither pop forgotten sands or 2008 get worked , and also failed with ac1 there's maybe a hidden trick to deal with this kind of ubisoft 2008/2009 games
