PS3 OFW 4.81 Backup Games Injection LICDIR Mods Listing and Guide

Yesterday we saw a brief guide covering PS3 Games with Older LIC.DAT Titles, and @ShadixAced shared a link HERE of a PlayStation 3 game compilation listing that can be injected with backups using PARAM.SFO license directory modifications with update patches running on OFW 4.75 through 4.81.

If you want to prepare the specified games for the console on the console, then see below: The method, how to make the game work, is pretty simple. The game should have an official patch (and how else will we launch it from the internal disk?).

The patch is being unpacked, the contents of USRDIR, except for EBOOT.BIN and updated files (if any) are taken from the disk version. PARAM.SFO (from the disk) is edited. Change the Category from DG to HG and App Version to the patch version.

Sorry for the noob question. But do you know how to inject games larger than 4GB? I'm trying The Force Unleashed for this one.

The size of the game shouldn't make any difference, you do the injecting on a computer so can be any size, doesn't need to go on a FAT32 drive until it is injected into the backup and that will be split anyway.

I see....Thanks. Anyways, I can confirm it works with Burnout Paradise. Downloading DMC4 now. Hoping it works since it's released in 2008. I hope we can play newer games with 4.81.

Last question, is FTP possible on a 4.81 OFW console? I don't have a large flash disk or External HDD to copy the two games I have. Thanks!
