Following the PS4 4.0x WebKit Exploit Break Down, JailbreakMe PS4 3.5x / 3.70 / 4.0x Exploit Ports, 4.50 Kernel R/W Access and his original JailbreakMe PS4 4.0x WebKit RCE Exploit today PlayStation 4 hacker qwertyoruiopz confirmed on Twitter that he "just pwned PS4 4.5x" which Google defines as "(especially in video gaming) utterly defeat (an opponent or rival); completely get the better of."

Of note, PS4 Firmware 4.55 has now become mandatory to use PSN reported by HYTR and we'll update this article once specifics become available on how qwertyoruiopz has pwned PS4 v4.5x, but until then it's GREAT to hear his progress on hacking the PlayStation 4 video gaming console!

From the latest Tweets added above, qwertyoruiopz has confirmed on Twitter that PS4 OFW 4.55 is vulnerable to both Webkit RCE and Kernel LPE exploits which is great to hear as the PlayStation 4 developers ponder if he's planning a scene release or not.

According to Wololo the hypocrite via ArthurBishop, to quote: "Update on release plan: Qwertyoruiop has replied (thanks!) and told me he doesn’t know at the moment if this will be released or not. In an ideal world he would keep a kernel exploit for private access and research on future firmwares, and release only if/when he finds a second user/kernel exploit combination."

From the PSXHAX Shoutbox come the following links courtesy of @Chaos Kid and @SorenAlke for other developers to examine:
Until we hear more from qwertyoruiopz, here's today's Umar Bang meme video courtesy of @Centrino:
Thanks to @B7U3 C50SS, @defense, @hyndrid, @raedoob and @xthird16 for sharing the news in the PSXHAX Shoutbox and to @Lush78 for being the first to post the already famous Tweet in the forums HERE! <3

You think its fake

Looks fake for me

Let me address or should I say rephrase the "it's fake" thing. It should read "it COULD be fake" instead of coming out & saying it's fake. Remember all the people coming out against the jailbroken PS3 & saying it was fake. Well, we all know that wasn't true. We will know in a few months to possibly a year whether this is just a fake looking for attention.

I'm thinking 50/50 on this to whether it's fake or not. You just never know about people. I hope it's true of course but if not then so be it. It wouldn't have surprised me a bit if it does come out as being fake. Thanks.

Bruh if you have read the thread before replying you prolly would have known what exactly we said looks fake.

Not sure if this is true or not. But it certainly would be VERY good if it was true. After so long seeing and waiting for progress, I guess it should be right that we hit a milestone at some point.

As I said already, the guy is legit. He released stuff before and they worked. But we will have to wait a bit before everything unfolds.

Some stupid comment from wololo : “In an ideal world he would keep a kernel exploit for private access and research on future firmwares, and release only if/when he finds a second user/kernel exploit combination.”

The article never claimed that this was his intention but a supposition of the best case scenario.

o_O

And

He doesn’t know whether or not he’ll release it…

Then why did he bother announcing that he has something? Does he just want us to stroke his ego? Does he just want to troll us? I feel like it’s good etiquette to release an exploit/hack to the community if you’re going to announce it to the community, or at least give real hackers (the ones who don’t pull this garbage) hints on how to recreate the exploit.

I realize that hackers don’t owe us end users anything, and I appreciate what hackers like TheFlow have done for us already, but if you’re going to announce an exploit to the public you had better be ready to release that exploit to the public.
