PS4IDENT: Find Jailbreakable PlayStation 4 Consoles Before Buying
Following the recent X-Project PS4 5.05 Self Host / ESP8266 updates and PS4 1.76 / 4.05 Lists, PlayStation 4 developer @DEFAULTDNB (aka KiiWii on Twitter) has now made available what he calls PS4IDENT which attempts to identify the potential OFW version of sealed new PS4 consoles by entering their model number or datecode in order to save time researching one before purchasing and avoid disappointment of getting one that currently can't be exploited and jailbroken. :notworthyxf2:

To quote from KiiWii on the tool's release: PS4IDENT - Find hackable consoles!

I'm back with a new tool today which has one simple aim: identify the potential OFW version on a sealed new console (obviously this wont work for secondhand or refurbished consoles). No more need to scour the Internet and search forums, I have done it for you!
This is based on collated information (which is freely available) from PSDEVWIKI (HERE & HERE) Wikipedia (HERE), the uber-handy [Suggestion] PS4 Bundles & Firmware List thread by Scarecrow B, and a few long days of googling.

All you do is access the link, type in the relevant information from the console packaging and judge for your selves based on the traffic light warnings. (RED = forget it, YELLOW = possibly one OFW or the other, GREEN = almost definitely confirmed).

To avoid confusion: this is a java script web app & it does not require it to be run on a PS4, it will not detect a PS4, it can be run on any browser that supports JS.

Capcom Unveils New Mega Man 11 PS4 Launch Trailer and Game Tips
I still hear the classic Mega Man 2 tune every time there's an update, and today Capcom unveiled a new Mega Man 11 PS4 launch trailer video complete with some PlayStation 4 game tips below! :D

As previously reported, Mega Man 11 is one of many new PS4 titles launching this week which is available now on PlayStation Store for $29.99.

Check out the Mega Man 11 launch trailer and video game tips below courtesy of Brand Marketing Manager Tim Turi, to quote:

Get ready for perilous pitfalls, treacherous spikes, and Robot Master boss battles that will put your skills to the test. Sometimes we need a little help conquering that first boss to get the momentum going, so I'm here to help you master Mega Man’s new abilities and make it through Block Man's stage.

Mastering Mega Man's New Powers
The Blue Bomber's new Double Gear System offers players several options for how they approach the variety of stages in Mega Man 11.
  • Speed Gear – Toggling this ability enhances Mega Man’s speed, making him move so fast that it appears as if the world around him has slowed down. In essence, it slows time so that players can better dodge falling blocks, battle quick enemies, and more.
  • Power Gear – This Gear powers up Mega Man’s arm cannon, enabling rapid-fire shots and a double-charge shot blast for huge damage. It also powers up boss weapons, which we’ll cover in a minute. It’s great for battles against the spikey mid-boss in Block Man’s stage and for taking down the Robot Master himself. Be careful about overusing either Gear, as the Double Gear System can overheat and you’ll have to wait for it to cool down before you can use it again.
  • Double Gear Technique – Try pressing R1 + L1 at the same time when Mega Man’s health is critically low to unleash the Blue Bomber’s hidden power. Mega Man will trigger the Power and Speed Gears simultaneously, giving him a heavy advantage in combat.
Busting Through Block Man's Pyramid

Mega Man's core abilities and exciting new powers are crucial for making it through Block Man’s stage for a showdown with the Robot Master himself. Block Man’s stage is filled...
