Discussion of Theories for Newer PS4 Games on 4.05 Firmware

Following the recent PS4 Barthen Method for getting newer games running with PS4HEN, some forum members including @SkysTheLimit, @Goldenboy22 and @Picalo would like to open a discussion of theories on how newer PlayStation 4 game dumps can become playable on exploited 4.05 Firmware consoles.

We'll use this as an ongoing discussion thread for those who'd like to share their insight and research into getting newer PS4 games with Minimum Firmware Versions above 4.05 OFW dumped and running, which according to Mathieulh is currently the BEST PS4 Firmware to be on as 1.76 is now considered outdated since the 4.05 exploit chain from SpecterDev with popular 4.05 exploit forks and experiments by IDC alongside the PS4 Exploit Host by Al Azif.

Install, yes. Exec, no. Exec fail version check. Never we mount the title in sandbox to dump unencrypted.

Possibility patch second area for check, different lib, load different memory location , possible missing key for decrypt mount fail as result (is error code keysign error or exec version error code? clue there perhaps).

Possible dump with private kexec. Possible both way possible. No single choice definite right. Follow all path until door open better each time.

Guys, stop dreaming inconsistent stuff with open eyes ...
A simple backup of the user's data will never... ever .... contains any even marginally important stuff....
Even less possible that is containing very critical stuff like SAMU keys..

And, just to add a small digression....
Owning the keys for decrypting and having patched the encrypted files in some mysterious way, still don't imply the game to run.

Every new devkit version (even the minor updates that don't change SAMU keys) adds some system call to functions that need to be manually added or patched within the game
So, without a CFW, most 4.07+ games will be unlikely.

I'm running tests I do not know if I can restore this backup of my 5.00 console in the copy is included assassin cread origin the backup and 59 GB in total, I'm going on a usb pen in fat32 otherwise it is not seen for recovery, it takes a few hours to complete the copy I will publish all the results anyway I would not be so pessimistic, we're talking about restoring a working console 5.00 on a console 4.05 if you accept the backup something will have to change we'll see

resumed proof of restoration 5.00 on 4.05

the console has recognized the files as a recoverable backup, so the spoof is sufficient to allow a 5.00 backup to be accepted, but here is the first obstacle:

practically the console goes into a sort of reboot, so it definitely loses the spoof load, gets to 90% of the installation and goes into error:

impossible to restore
ps4 will be restarted and then initialized (CE-33311-1)

really a pity


the spoof unfortunately is in the RAM memory of the console Just? It would take a spoof payload to be written into the system memory, which I see difficult

who knows maybe changing some files in the backup files that I see on my usb fat32 you can not fool the system, making believe that it is a backup for 4.05 not for 5.00

Sorry, surely I ignore so many things that you developers know I'm just thinking and I'm happy to share my thoughts of inexperienced with the community, perhaps with my reasoning I can open my mind to some genius of the scene
