Today PlayStation 4 developer @RetroGamer74 (Twitter) made available PS4 RetroGamerFirm firmware in the form of retrogamerfirm.bin and retrogamerfirm_en.bin (English) for ESP8266 chips which offers PS4 4.55 exploits and popular payloads including AppToUSB, HEN, HEN-VR, DUMPER, BACKUP, FTP, Enable Browser, Block FW Updates, Unblock FW Updates, Arabic Guy v1.0 GTA V ModMenu, WildeModz v.1.1 GTA V ModMenu, Lamance v.0.7 GTA V ModMenu.

This firmware includes next payloads: AppToUSB, HEN, HEN-VR, DUMPER, BACKUP, FTP, Enable Browser, Block FW Updates, Unblock FW Updates, Arabic Guy v1.0 GTA V ModMenu, WildeModz v.1.1 GTA V ModMenu, Lamance v.0.7 GTA V ModMenu.

English Installation Instructions

• Download the ZIP package of this repository
• Use retrogamerfirm_en.bin if you want firmware in english language.
• Flash ESP8266 firmware using next flasher.
• You can flash the firmware using Windows x86, Windows x86_64, or MacOSX.

Once running PS4:

• Settings -> Networking setup.
• Choose option Customized.
• Select WiFi network identified by PS4Wifi. (Password not required)
• Select Automatic IP.
• DNS IP, Set values for Primary and Secondary DNS to: 10.10.10.1
• Set next options to their default values, until you reach the end of the networking setup.
• Finally go to the Users Guide, in the Settings. The website installed into ESP8266 firmware will be shown. Ver: 0.8

For everyone interested in testing the new PS4 Admin. Go to your network settings in your PS4 and set Primary DNS to next IP: 139.99.172.148. Then go to User Guide and enjoy! In few days will be available the ESP8266 firmware based on this.

@barelynotlegal ok so wait a second, are you saying that the ps4 will literally run the pkg file itself, no need to install it ?? Or and Im trying to understand Are you saying to do these steps.

1. Put All downloaded ps4 pkgs onto usb (exfat format I assume)
2. Create Folder named PS4.
3. Put app2usb.ini in the PS4 folder. (do I need the bin file)
4. Create another folder in the root of the drive named (tittle ID) does capitalization matter?
5. Whichever game I want to install I rename it to app.pkg.
THIS IS WHERE I GET CONFUSED DO I
6. Run the app2usb payload then install the game and it will install to usb.
OR when I run the payload I'll see some option somewhere to play the game itself??
Last question what did you mean tedious with 52?? Thanks again for the response.

I have a PS4 pro , it doesn't work , Network found , settings accepted, but doesn't start. Tested this with my handy , chip and web interface starts... but not on my ps4....

It is necessary to add the payload as "Original" and run through it "Hen Vortex" and then the problems will disappear

Great work guys! And thank you all very very much! I got my ESP8266 from Amazon yesterday and installed it without a problem.

Well the only issue was finding the right driver (Win7) for me lol
Flashing firmware was a breeze, and the exploit layout is pretty keeeeoooowwwl!
