PS4 6.02 Top Secret Method for Games Rumored Incoming via Zecoxao

For those following, this discussion is moved from the ongoing PS4 6.XX JSC_ConcatMemcpy WebKit Exploit POC thread and based on the Tweets below is not to be confused with M0rph3us1987's 35c3 Speech later this month.

While there is no ETA just yet, established PlayStation scene developer @zecoxao announced on Twitter the following from the embedded Tweets below to quote:

"Top Secret method for ps4 6.02 coming soon..." followed by "reminding everyone that this is a method, NOT an exploit. it'll only be good for things like games, nothing else" and also "once it's patched, it'll be over again."

This rumored 6.02 PlayStation 4 method has also been confirmed as working on 6.20 now, and comes following both the Method to Handle PS4 Fake PKGs & SELF / FSELF and PS4 PKG Install from Internal HDD via FTP & BGFT Method by PS4 scene developer @flatz.

No one told the date when it will be released. It was only speculations. Everyone got hyped for nothing. And you wont be happy when it will be released, cause this method isnt simple for everyone and will be patched next day.

My guess (aka speculation) is between now and January 1, 2019... but if not by New Year's then we'll close this thread and reopen it when it does surface.

Hopefully if this 'top secret method' is as lack-luster as you say then the lecture covering Exploiting PS4 Video Apps for ALL Firmware versions on December 28th will be of more interest to PS4 hackers.

Want to say great job on the find of the secret method. Will it be worth updating and then being stuck on a non exploited firmware once patched, I don’t think so.

Yes it would be nice to have a higher firmware exploit but I’m grateful for the 5.05 firmware exploit and don’t intend to update (if that’s needed for the 6.xx games)

So honestly this is all hype and I guess for people on OFW as well.

Exactly... if someone is on current ofw, then this could be very helpful. For everyone on 5.05 i'm afraid that it wont be worth updating....

But, why dont go both ways is beyond my comprehension - release 5.55 or newer (if exist) for users who are on jailbreak right now,and release some alternative method for users who are past that point that they can easily upgrade to newer firmware.... I mean, why is always a or b, why both method....

Mine after all this time is sitting still on 4.05 jailbreak. Personally really looking forward to something ps4 scene relating happening just to see what people come up on top of that. Dont get the righteous tweets of some people in special society along this journey.

But what the Switch scene has come up when they blew the doors open is just amazing, especially how fast Retroarch has ramped up. xb360 and PS3 systems still hold a great place in my heart too because of much community additions on open systems.
