PS4 HEN Enable Updated PlayStation VR Payload with Source Code

I have been messing around with trying to get my VR headset to work with 4.05 for a little while, and because the VR headset is updated to the latest firmware it wouldn't work.

Just recently @XVortex pointed out you can poke a memory value to sort of spoof the system firmware version, so I tried what he said and put together a Enable_VR.bin payload (load the HEN payload and then load the VR payload because the Web exploit will say invalid import map, or use this idc.zip modified IDC exploit to launch it as I have added the 5.05 sections so it does not complain about import map) to poke the offset and found it allowed my VR headset to work.

Update: Ok I sorted out the problem and merged the enable VR mod into XVortex's HEN 1.3 so you can now just run this 1 HEN payload and play VR with the source code below:

I only have 1 VR game to test on at the moment as I have to download the VR games now, but it is Resident Evil 7 and its working with my latest updated VR 3.10 and 4.05 + HEN.

Dear all,

I seems like my problem was not related to the VR headset. I found some information that the stopping of headset and game followed by the log off of the user is most likely caused by some corrupted user data (trophies ?). I changed to a new user profile last night, and everything worked fine, I tried several games.

Hi there,

I just updated from 4.05 to 5.05 and I cannot use the VR, it asks to update from 2.50 to 3.10. In 4.05 I used HEN+VR but in 5.05 there is no such a payload, yet. I discovered yours @stooged but I don't know how to use it. Could you help me please, by guiding me to a step by step tutorial? Many thanks four your support!

Just allow the vr to update to 3.10 the vr update is embedded into the 5.05 firmware so its ok to update the vr firmware.

Just keep the internet to the ps4 disabled while you update it as a precaution.

hi please HELP ME, give noob information for patch VR correctly... i would buy a VR2, which step i do ? first thing I have to attack the VR to the ps4 and do something to update it or activate ? OR should I first run HEN + VR 5.0x and then the attack the VR and update with no lan ?

To compile your github project, do I only have to run build.sh?
