Wow it just dawned on me how you guys have jailbreakable ps4. :coldsweat:

This is because you would have had a ps4 bought ps5 starting using that and stop updating the ps4. When jailbreak rolls around the corner for old firmware ps4 bam you get through.

I have my PS4 since 2016. In 2020 i heard there is jailbreak for PS4 so I stopped updating it, but my little brother by mistake update it so i missed 7.55 version and after about a year I check that it work for 9.00 so i update it and jailbreak it and since then everything is fine.

I wonder does it make sense to update it from 9.00 to 11.00?

i guess to save space i did the awesome move to uninstall all my purchased psn games and demos so now anyone of them i try to play, it shows system update needed lol. Definitely a noob move but that's how we learn I guess.

man i cant wait to see what will the homebrew community will develop once sony will just forget about the ps4 which will probably will not be so soon since a lot of players are still on the ps4. Cant believe that after a decade a ton of Playstation users are still on the ps4

Hi All , I am just getting back into the modding scene after quite a few years away. Only noticed that I first registered here in 2010.

Looking at the way things have progressed within the scene I have a lot of reading and catching up to do, I currently have a PS3, XBOX 360 and a wii all modded in some shape or form. Also used to have a PS1 & 2 and XBOX crystal all modded as well whether with a chip or Custom Firmware.

I have just got a PS4 PRO running on ofw 11.00 (Lucky me great timing). I have managed to install Goldhen on it after a few tries. The console came with a couple of games, Gran Turismo Sport and COD WWII. both being able to run on ofw 11.00.

Now that there is an ofw 12.00 COD is asking for this to be updated to be able to run, obviously I wont update but is there a workaround to be able to run this game or will I need a Fake pkg in its place to be able to play this? Any replies would be most appreciated. Thanks

Sony kinda reminds me of apple with the new updates to prevent the user from taking control of their device and doing what they want with it.

It sucks that among all the big and small companys that theirs not 1 that solely lets you do what you want with your tech unless you find exploits or some other way to bypass something they put in to prevent you...

Hello... It's quite surprising that Sony is still providing the PS4 with updates, even though the PS5 has been on the market for a while now. While the improvements to the user interface are commendable, there don't seem to be any truly groundbreaking new features.

Of course, for the homebrew community, the update is another cause for caution. As long as there is no new jailbreak, it's probably best to stay away from the update and stick with the old firmware in order to continue using the possibilities of homebrew.

I'm curious to see if there will be any other noteworthy updates for the PS4 in the future, or if Sony will now focus entirely on the PS5. Maybe there will be a surprise feature for the 'old' console after all. Greetings from Germany 🙃
