PS4 System Software / Firmware 5.05 Update Live, Most Stable Yet!

Last month we saw PS4 OFW 5.03, and today following recent news of their upcoming PS4 5.50 Beta firmware @MrNiato of PSX Times let everyone know on Twitter that Sony has rolled out a mandatory PlayStation 4 System Software 5.05 which... (as if you haven't guessed already)... improves system performance!

We'll update this article when confirmation comes on whether it patches the private 5.03 Kernel Exploit or if someone just wanted a free t-shirt. Until then, needless to say DON'T UPDATE or you'll lose the ability to exploit, jailbreak and brag on Twitter about running free PlayStation 4 games, emulators and homebrew to boost e-peen.

my ps4 is on 4.55 jailbroken but have no bd rom card... is there anyway i can update the firmware to 5.05?

i heard you cant update to 5.XX if your BD rom card is missing... usb stick update method doesnt work anymore?

If i click the firmware version 5.05 .. so next page open file not found...???

Ok Guys I noticed this news and By this I presume that most games are now playable on the ps4? I mean I am still on OFW 4.0 lol and it has never been online. I have only purchased games that 4.0 or below.

So I can now safely purchase the new god of war and play this title ..just not update and stay offline. I know the ps4 will update to ofw 5.05 if I go this route ...but are there any major cons if any going this way forward ATM ?

I would really be helpful for any feedback.
