PS4 System Software / Firmware 5.05 Update Live, Most Stable Yet!

Last month we saw PS4 OFW 5.03, and today following recent news of their upcoming PS4 5.50 Beta firmware @MrNiato of PSX Times let everyone know on Twitter that Sony has rolled out a mandatory PlayStation 4 System Software 5.05 which... (as if you haven't guessed already)... improves system performance!

We'll update this article when confirmation comes on whether it patches the private 5.03 Kernel Exploit or if someone just wanted a free t-shirt. Until then, needless to say DON'T UPDATE or you'll lose the ability to exploit, jailbreak and brag on Twitter about running free PlayStation 4 games, emulators and homebrew to boost e-peen.

btw in main post it seems there is diferent versions of the firmware for each region...

another quick question i have that pre downloaded the 5.53 firmware on ps4

if i do the usb update he dont gonna pick that one saved on the ps4 right?

@Jomapika I don't think it will pick the one from the usb. You would be better off formatting your hard drive. If your on 4.55 I think you can remove the 5.53 update with ftp.

i am at 5.00 firmware, i saw here some tutorial to delete the update, but it was already for a ps4 with jailbreak

full factory restore it works? i tried the USB update, because actually there is a option to choose via usb, disc or internet... but when i did i got a error SU-41350-3

My bad with the rush i forgot to edit the file name after download... super easy to do and there is no problem with the last pre downloaded firmware...
also can be used the official instead of the recovery (short file to download)

Hello , i have a question, i search a 5.05 recovery update (EU) who can i find that ?

I will install a bigger hdd in my ps4
Can i take all 2,5" hdds ?
