Following his last guide, today PlayStation 4 developer @MODDEDWARFARE let us know on Twitter that he's posted a new video tutorial on his YouTube Channel covering How to Run Fake / Custom Package (PKG) Files from USB / HDD on jailbroken PS4 4.05 and 4.55 consoles. :cool:

Here's a summary from the video's description, to quote: How to run custom/fake package files such as PS4 backup games, homebrew apps and PS2 games on a 4.55 PS4.

This video also covers how to run the package files from a USB device instead of the internal hard drive.

there is two scenario if you want to delete a games in Ext HDD if you:

1-plugged your Ext HDD to the ps4 then you will delete the game from the Ext HDD and also the icon and all it info from the PS4. so it will be deleted from your ps4 and Ext HDD.

2-un-plugged your Ext HDD from your PS4, you will delete only the icon and the info from your PS4, but your game will be in your Ext HDD. so if you plugged your Ext HDD again you will not see you game again pop up in XMB, you must install it again to your PS4 to see it, and to that you just have to move it from it's ID folder in Ext HDD to the root of the Ext HDD.

@sl3ge
the Dev Al-Azif sort his ps4-exploit-host with these names and you can click on "about" in the same page in upper right and you will see the meaning of the names.

I quote from his "about" page: "The original 4.55 exploit by qwertyoruiopz, flatz, specter, and others. Listens for payloads on port 9020."

just 2 things people will want to take note on.

in the video he mentions exfat or fat32 formats, you don't want to use fat32 in regards to ps4 pkg files as fat32 has a single file size limit of 4gb and most ps4 pkg files are larger than 4gb.
exfat can handle files much larger than 4gb so make sure you use exfat.

and the CHECK_USB flag is just to check the root of the usb for any pkg files that match the pkg being transferred from the internal to external drive and if a match is found in the root of the usb drive it will create the CUSA folder and move the pkg file from the root to the CUSA file instantly and rename it app.pkg.

if you leave CHECK_USB commented(//CHECK_USB) it will still look inside the CUSA folder for the app.pkg file and link it without copying from the internal drive.
so the process outlined in the video would still have worked the same with //CHECK_USB.

still great video :)

@Heyula
you don't delete anything from your PS4 the AppToUSB will do it for you.
so just do as the video say and you will be fine.
there is only one thing you don't have to do it like the video and that is you don't need to copy your game manually to the PS4 folder in your Ext HDD bc the AppToUSB will do it for you as the Dev say in the post above.
