Sony Disables PlayStation Plus Subscription Stacking Temporarily
Recently Sony updated the PlayStation Plus FAQ stating that they're disabling PS Plus subscription stacking via pre-paid voucher code cards for existing customers temporarily until after the launch of the upcoming PlayStation Plus & PS Now Service later this year in June. :cautious:

This comes proceeding the 10 Million Dollar XBox Gift Card Cheat, PlayStation Store Payment Option Limitations announced last fall and the Incoming PS4 / PS5 PS Plus Games next month.

Below are some relevant excerpts from their recently revised PS Plus FAQ:

I am an existing PlayStation Plus and/or PlayStation Now member. Why do I get an error message when I try to add time to my membership either by purchasing more time on the PlayStation Store on console/web/app, or by applying a membership voucher?

As we prepare to launch the new PlayStation Plus membership service, we are doing some work behind the scenes to make the transition as smooth as possible for all of our existing members. As part of this work, we’ve temporarily disabled stacking memberships for existing customers until after the launch.

Rest assured that your voucher code is still valid, and you will be able to redeem your code either when your existing membership expires and deactivates, or after the new PlayStation Plus service launches in your area, whichever happens first.

I have a PlayStation Plus or PlayStation Now 1-month, 3-month or 12-month membership voucher. What will happen if I redeem it before the new PlayStation Plus service launches?

If you currently have a PlayStation Plus or PlayStation Now membership, due to changes we are making to the service prior to launch, you won’t be able to redeem a voucher code for that service...
New PlayStation Plus PS4 and PS5 Games Coming in May 2022
Until Sony's All New PlayStation Plus service launches this summer, here's the new PS4 and PS5 games arriving to PS Plus next month on May 3rd, 2022 for subscribers featuring FIFA 22, Tribes of Midgard and Curse of the Dead Gods with additional details below. ➕

Here's more about each incoming PS Plus title from SIE Content Acquisition & Operations Director Adam Michel, to quote:

FIFA 22 | PS5, PS4

Powered by Football, EA Sports FIFA 22 brings the game even closer to the real thing with gameplay advances across every mode. Build your dream squad in Ultimate Team, Create Your Club in Career Mode, and express yourself in style on the streets with reimagined Volta Football gameplay.

Enjoy local or online competitive multiplayer matches on PS4 and PS5, while the power of PS5 makes every match even more real with groundbreaking next-gen HyperMotion technology. With big innovation all over the pitch, it’s time to start your FIFA 22 season!

PlayStation Plus members can kickstart their brand-new Ultimate Team or bolster their existing squad with the PlayStation Plus FUT Pack for FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

This pack includes 11 players rated 82 or above to help build your dream squad in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, as well as an Icon Moments Loan Player Pick, allowing you to choose between some of the best ballers in history and add one of three to your squad for five games.

Tribes of Midgard | PS4 & PS5

Tribes of Midgard blends survival and ARPG genres into a colorful co-op or solo experience set within the universe of Norse mythology. As an Einherjar, returned to life by Odin himself, you and your tribe of up to 10 players will need to defend the Seed of Yggdrasil from evil forces set on bringing about Ragnarok.

Together, you will have to venture out and explore the wilderness of Midgard to gather the resources, materials, and hidden treasures essential to forging new weapons, epic armor, and fortifying your village.

How to Enable PS5 VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) on PlayStation 5
Earlier this week Sony announced that PS5 Variable Refresh Rate (PS5 VRR) Support is Incoming, however, those on the current PS5 5.02 System Software discovered that enabling PS5 VRR doesn't actually require another PlayStation 5 Firmware update despite earlier reports stating "VRR will arrive globally through a PS5 console update over the next few days." :sneaky:

According to RTCanada on enabling PlayStation 5 VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) via Reddit among others, to quote: Update is out now! No system update to download, please restart PS5. VRR should now be seen (if your monitor/TV supports it naturally) in:

Screen and Video Settings

Recommended to enable under VRR Settings:
