Today PlayStation 4 developer @SpecterDev announced on Twitter that a full PS4 5.05 Jailbreak (Userland and Kernel exploit) will be coming soon complete with tools for developing PS4 homebrew applications like Alpha-V3.pkg on 5.05 OFW and games!
Also PlayStation developer @Mathieulh dropped some PS4 Firmware 5.53 teasers on Twitter recently including a kernel string, although he reminds everyone to have some patience.
To quote from SpecterDev: "Within the next few weeks there will be a PS4 5.05 full stack release including tools for homebrew development. Some other tools will be dropped as time goes on. Don't update your <= 5.05 consoles if you care about homebrew. Hope to see cool stuff soon "
Following their previous update last month, Sony announced today news of their latest PSN Totally Digital pre-order discounts and savings on sale titles outlined below.
Members can save up to 50% on digital-only sale titles, and up to 20% on pre-orders with PS Plus! Here's the full scoop from Digital Games Business Manager Brian Fujimoto as follows:
Following his RetroList RetroArch Tool update, today Quake of SubZero Dezigns made available a Windows app called DI-AR15 for Defiance (PC, PS3) and Defiance 2050 (PC, PS4, XBox One) which helps you to keep track of your inventory across multiple toons / accounts with some updates below.
To quote from his blog post on the release: What is DI-AR15?
DI = Defiance Inventory
AR15 = Triggering Snowflakes
Defiance: PC, PS3
Defiance 2050: PC, PS4, X-One
DI-AR15 will help you keep track of your Inventory across Multiple Toons (Accounts).
By "MANUALLY" Inserting your inventory you can look for what you need, or have to sell with a click of a button.
You will no longer have to Switch Toons (Accounts) to look in your "LONG" list. Remember, This a "MANUAL" database of your inventory. This "DOES NOT" connect to the PC, PS4, PS3, X-One, or any other device saves.
NO IMAGES ARE INCLUDED IN THE DATABASE FOR THE GEAR. YOU CAN ADD YOUR OWN INTO YOUR OWN DATABASE. ONCE THE IMAGE IS SET INTO THE DATABASE FOR THE ITEM/GEAR IT WILL USE THAT IMAGE FOR THAT ITEM/GEAR NAME.

With a strong comeback since the legal hassles last year, the OpenIV Team recently announced OpenIV 3.0 featuring PS4 (Orbis) support for Grand Theft Auto V among the updates!

Whats new in OpenIV 3.0
PlayStation 4 support
We are happy to announce new platform support for Grand Theft Auto V, please welcome PlayStation 4 (Orbis). We never actually thought this will be possible, but files for PS4 version of GTA V are available, so why not?
Features
As always in the beginning of the support for new game or platform, not all OpenIV features are available. As for now, we have basic support for Archives, Textures, Models, Collision Bounds, NavMeshes and Audio files. You can open all those files in inbuilt OpenIV tools, but there is no openFormats exporting or editing capabilities. Since PS4 have some specifics in GTA V RAGE Resources please consider this support as BETA and report any issues you may encounter. Please do not expect same level of features support as we have for PC version.
Files
You might also have question, where to get the PS4 game files. We cannot answer this question; this is something you need to figure out by yourself. You need to have game files on your PC. When you got the files, you also need decrypted version of eboot.bin, if you have the files you probably already know where to get it.
Vehicles animations
As our first step in GTA V Animations support, we added new feature for playing vehicles animations. In the model viewer if vehicle has animation you will see controls for playing it. You can play animation forwards and backwards.
We will continue our work on GTA V Animations support and you will see features like cutscenes player and openFormats support in the future.
Multichannel audio support
We added very important option into OpenIV settings. You now can configure how OpenIV plays multichannel audio. The new option "Multichannel audio playback" placed in...
