Keeping focused on our PSXHAX To-Do / Feature Request List we have now added a Shoutbox which appears above the Forums as well as on it's own page (linked previously) or in a Popup Window if you prefer.

So who can view and use the shiny new Shoutbox?

You can check out our ongoing PSXHAX User Groups Perks and Badges List to find out, but in summary if you confirm your email address you can view it when logged in... and if you make (1) post and receive just (1) like (totaling 2 Trophy Points) then you can use it to chat with others.

Easy peasy peoples!!!

Following our implementation of Disqus as an alternative option for commenting here at PSXHACKS, we also knocked another item off the PSXHAX To-Do List adding login integration for Facebook, Twitter and Google users today.

If you already have a Forum account and would like to associate it with your Facebook, Twitter or Google account for quicker logins and easier content sharing with your friends, you can also do that from the External Accounts page too.

A quick update today to cover some Xenforo features you may or may not be aware of... you can use the @ symbol to tag another PSXHAX member in a post now, for example if AdvMerlin mentions me it would be @PSXHAX which should then send me an Alert notification (pictured to the right) and when I hover on the Alerts menu I will see the following:



Another cool Facebook-esque feature to keep track of other members and PlayStation developers who reside here is the ability to 'follow' them by adding them to your Following List (pictured at right).

Once you add someone, their actions, likes, comments etc will appear in your News Feed (pictured below) when you login each day so that you can get up to speed quickly with what's going on in the scene.

Knocked another small item off the ongoing To-Do List today and enabled Disqus commenting integration for all articles / threads here on PSXHAX.COM.

You can comment using Disqus on them as long as they are a week old or newer, however, to keep spammers at bay if you include a link in your comment it must be approved first before it shows up publicly.

If anyone who is experienced with Disqus wants permission to Moderate these comments feel free to reply below or send me a shout at @PSXHAX and we'll make it happen since I don't use Disqus much personally.

We should be able to finally bring some testers on over to this site from the old one later this week, and then we'll open registrations publicly about a week after that as long as there aren't any major hiccups along the way.

As mentioned previously we'll be covering many of the new features in coming weeks here at PSXHAX so that everyone will be in the loop as to what's available and how to use them all.

Infinite Scrolling allows you to view the news article updates here without having to click to the next page, once you reach the bottom of a page more articles will automatically load until you reach the end.

After browsing down through a page, for those who don't like scrolling all the way back up to the top you can also click the 'Go to Top' arrow button pictured which will automatically zoom ya back up there.

If you find Infinite Scrolling annoying or simply prefer the Pagination, you can disable it by pausing it and selecting Change Settings. You may also hide the Feature Slider there if you so wish to do so.

Pictured to your left is the result of disabling Infinite Scrolling, the pagination appears... and you may turn it on and off whenever you like of course.
