I've been reporting on Sony PlayStation hacking news since 2000 and started PSXHAX in 2014 to cover PlayStation (PSX), PlayStation 2 (PS2), PlayStation 3 (PS3), PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation Portable (PSP), PlayStation Vita (PS Vita), PlayStation TV (PS TV) and next-gen PlayStation 5 (PS5) platforms along with anything else of interest.

Sony Confirms PlayStation Store to Continue for PS3 and PS Vita Consoles
Last month Sony announced plans to close the PlayStation Store for PS3, PS Vita and PSP this Summer... however, after receiving customer feedback today they had a change of heart and confirmed the PS Store for PS3 and PS Vita will continue operations with only the PSP commerce functionality retiring on July 2, 2021 as scheduled. 
While this is great news for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita fans, should $ony decide to discontinue them in the future many options currently exist to backup the PS3 game update files for archival purposes including Awesome Update Finder 0.3 by @NZHawk, PS3 Game Updater 1.41 by @trueicecold (Twitter), EU-US-PS3-Updates.txt via xps3riments, PS3-GUDT_v1.1 (Demo Video) by Postposterous, ps3-update-dl by ioistired and the most recently updated PS3GameUpdateDownloader by shinrax2 for downloading PS3 Game PKG Updates from official Sony servers similar to what the extremely useful youtube-dl application does for video files.

The Last of Us (TLOU) Remastered PS4 Cheats Dev Menu Payloads via X3shakir
Since the previous TLOU Remastered PS4 Patches / Cheat Codes and GoW4 PS4 Tool / NFS Payback Infinite Nitrous PS4 Payloads, recently PS4Scene developer @x3shakir shared via Twitter some The Last of Us (TLOU) Remastered Update 1.00, 1.08 and 1.11 payloads to enable the Cheats Dev Menu on jailbroken PS4 5.05 and PS4 6.72 consoles... with the possibility to add more versions as he obtains the related EBOOT.BIN files.

Proceeding his PS4 Notify Function Reversing work and recent OrbisFTP PS4 FTP Background App, today PlayStation 4 Scene developer @oldschoolmodzhd shared via Twitter a new Github repository PS4 Mono UI Research update detailing his Embedded Mono journey and reverse-engineering the PlayStation Highlevel UI for aspiring homebrew devs to learn from alongside some Orbis Toolbox PS4 Payloads below.

Conclusion
Now after two days I had managed to complete my goal of invoking both static and instanced mono methods. I was now able to call mono methods that were required to be called on the main thread. I now have set my sights on my next goals.

Now after two days I had managed to complete my goal of invoking both static and instanced mono methods. I was now able to call mono methods that were required to be called on the main thread. I now have set my sights on my next goals.

PS4 System Software / Firmware 8.50 is Now Live, Don't Update!
Earlier on we saw the official release of PS5 Firmware Update 3.00, and following the previous revision and 8.50 PS4 Beta PUP testing today Sony also pushed live PS4 System Software / Firmware 8.50 with the complete changelog outlined below. 
As always DON'T UPDATE if you wish to use PS4 game backups and homebrew apps whenever a new PS4 jailbreak exploit arrives, and we'll add any related Tweets as PlayStation 4 Scene developers have a chance to examine it.
