PS3 DECR-1000 Running PS1 Classics and PSP Minis Demo Video
Today PlayStation developer notzecoxao shared a video demonstration of a PS3 DECR-1000 running PS1 Classics and PSP Minis.
For those of you who have been around the scene awhile, you may recall the PlayStation 3 Development Kit hitting E-Bay, details on the PS3 TOOL Internals, Syscon / Flash Chips, PS3 TOOL CP, Serial Port and XMB Menu.
Our resident PSXHAX Moderator @Centrino has also just recently got his hands on a PS3 DECR-1000A development unit as well, so overall it definitely appears the PlayStation 3 scene isn't dead yet!

To make this work you need to:

To make this work you need to:
- Have a cfw for mounting dev_blind and moving ps1emu and pspemu folders, or you can just make a cfw with those two folders and their contents. I just used IRISMAN with PASTA CFW.
- Activate your content with reactpsn+user aa+exdata raps in usb000/exdata
- And a DECR-1000.

DS4Windows Updated by Boganhobo, Supports Sony Bluetooth Adapter
Those seeking to use their PS4 DualShock 4 Controller for PC gaming may already be aware of DS4Windows from Jays2Kings (GIT), but recently boganhobo (GIT) forked and updated the DS4 application with the help of Chamilsaan to support Sony's official Bluetooth adapter... meaning you can now use Dualshock 4's headphone jack and touchpad with DS4Windows!

To quote from PCGamer.com on this latest update: "DS4Windows tricks your PC into seeing the DualShock as an Xbox controller, which allows it to work in pretty much any game with controller support.
Now you can have the best of both worlds: the same old DS4Windows support, but with the added benefits of the Sony adapter’s strong Bluetooth range and full use of the headphone jack and touchpad.
Because DS4Windows is an open source project, boganhobo created a project fork to support Sony’s adapter."

PlayStation 4 Payload Port Fails, Specter Sends PS4 Back to Jail
Last weekend Twitter blew up with reports of a PlayStation 4 Payload Port work-in-progress from Specter of the PS4Console project, but alas today he announced that the PS4 payload idea didn't work out and for the time being Sony's black box is going back to jail.

"Looking back, in hindsight I feel like I should have known better that this wouldn't have worked because of the jail, but as pointed out by a friend, it's not a complete loss. If we do break out of the jail via a kernel exploit one day, perhaps this could be of some use (partially why I still posted this article). I also grew a lot and learned a lot throughout this little endeavor, and I ended up surprising myself at how much I would be able to keep going despite hitting the walls that I did.
After all, this is what exploitation is all about, having an idea, trying it, and seeing if it works - never make assumptions about a system. Sometimes you'll end up following paths that lead to a dead-end, but that doesn't mean it was all for nothing. Maybe someone else can learn from my mistakes too - I sure have.
I might take a step back and take a break from PS4 stuff for a while though and focus on learning some more in regards to exploitation and the linux kernel for the time being though."
