Discussion of Theories for Newer PS4 Games on 4.05 Firmware

Following the recent PS4 Barthen Method for getting newer games running with PS4HEN, some forum members including @SkysTheLimit, @Goldenboy22 and @Picalo would like to open a discussion of theories on how newer PlayStation 4 game dumps can become playable on exploited 4.05 Firmware consoles.

We'll use this as an ongoing discussion thread for those who'd like to share their insight and research into getting newer PS4 games with Minimum Firmware Versions above 4.05 OFW dumped and running, which according to Mathieulh is currently the BEST PS4 Firmware to be on as 1.76 is now considered outdated since the 4.05 exploit chain from SpecterDev with popular 4.05 exploit forks and experiments by IDC alongside the PS4 Exploit Host by Al Azif.

Ok, so theres way to trick game and install it om 4.05

@Andrew Marques what happens when you try to run it? Firmware error, other error, nothing... Please some details, without them you only get "fake" label and i think you didnt deserve it.

So little explanation, please, was it just a test to see if you can install it, without any hope to actually run it, or?

FWIW, when I try to run Persona 5 disc with VR spoof it says my current FW version is 5.05 but that I still need to update to 4.07.

So, this only trick ps to allow instalation.

But, great, i'm sure somebody will figure way to use this and solve problem of running games

@subcon959 remove the disc then insert it again and the game will start installing immediately

@Andrew Marques if you do have it playable you should have no problem starting the game and showing us gameplay from it.

Yes I installed it, I meant I can't get to the menu to be able to dump it so I'm not sure why some people are saying you can dump 4.07 games.
