Discussion of Theories for Newer PS4 Games on 4.05 Firmware

Following the recent PS4 Barthen Method for getting newer games running with PS4HEN, some forum members including @SkysTheLimit, @Goldenboy22 and @Picalo would like to open a discussion of theories on how newer PlayStation 4 game dumps can become playable on exploited 4.05 Firmware consoles.

We'll use this as an ongoing discussion thread for those who'd like to share their insight and research into getting newer PS4 games with Minimum Firmware Versions above 4.05 OFW dumped and running, which according to Mathieulh is currently the BEST PS4 Firmware to be on as 1.76 is now considered outdated since the 4.05 exploit chain from SpecterDev with popular 4.05 exploit forks and experiments by IDC alongside the PS4 Exploit Host by Al Azif.

can someone confirm what the physical release of Ark Survival Evolved requires?

the game was released in August 2017 physically,but there was a beta version released in December 2016 online,so that could be it. not only that, the game was in development for awhile and got delayed, so it could be 4.05 on disk,as no one has confirmed otherwise. i think it is worth investigating.

interesting. this is the fuller version of his "hints" 3 weeks ago. now it is only about the Webkit. i do wonder if anyone will implement it for 4.07 first, as it already has a webkit exploit. i have a feeling no body will bother though,as almost everyone will be waiting for a 4.55 webkit exploit.

also, if anyone remember, Flatz's PS4Hen writeup was originally made for 4.5, so implementing PS4hen on 4.55 using the original writeup should be really easy

thing is, when the beta game was released digitally (December 2016) the latest firmware was 4.07 not 4.05. were you able to roll back from 4.07 to 4.05 back in the day?
