Discussion of Theories for Newer PS4 Games on 4.05 Firmware

Following the recent PS4 Barthen Method for getting newer games running with PS4HEN, some forum members including @SkysTheLimit, @Goldenboy22 and @Picalo would like to open a discussion of theories on how newer PlayStation 4 game dumps can become playable on exploited 4.05 Firmware consoles.

We'll use this as an ongoing discussion thread for those who'd like to share their insight and research into getting newer PS4 games with Minimum Firmware Versions above 4.05 OFW dumped and running, which according to Mathieulh is currently the BEST PS4 Firmware to be on as 1.76 is now considered outdated since the 4.05 exploit chain from SpecterDev with popular 4.05 exploit forks and experiments by IDC alongside the PS4 Exploit Host by Al Azif.

this won't give you access nor allow that of higher fw. using it is just for compiling cause it contains the requirement of tools nor will payload do anything for you without obtaining from a later fw

they have a 4.50+ hack that is so private and i think this is not about legal problems that they need to keep it private (im not complaining about what they do). look at vita and switch there's no stopping them to release such hack on public maybe it's about what kind of person is behind of each hack....

i hope someday we can have a homebrew launcher on ps4 on 4.05+. so some people can do their playground making homebrew..

its ok if theres no backup launcher for ps4. just homebrew is ok.

@XVortex if it wont launch because of the keys, wouldnt that mean 4.07 games WILL launch, since they use the same keys? that would allow us to get many great games that we currently cant (Nier, Nioh, etc) and many updates too. i think this is very much worth trying as it seems like an obtainable goal

I would like to note that the russian who did H:ZD has stated that he has done all his work on a 4.05 console, so he doesnt have a higher firmware. my guess is that he firmware spoofed the console like what we hope to do, as H:ZD is 4.07

yes to do the he may have stated he's using 4.05 but what's not told is possibly he has a system on 5.05 exploited. he could be using a 2way system for all you know
