Following the recent PS4 Barthen Method for getting newer games running with PS4HEN, some forum members including @SkysTheLimit, @Goldenboy22 and @Picalo would like to open a discussion of theories on how newer PlayStation 4 game dumps can become playable on exploited 4.05 Firmware consoles. :unsurexf2:

We'll use this as an ongoing discussion thread for those who'd like to share their insight and research into getting newer PS4 games with Minimum Firmware Versions above 4.05 OFW dumped and running, which according to Mathieulh is currently the BEST PS4 Firmware to be on as 1.76 is now considered outdated since the 4.05 exploit chain from SpecterDev with popular 4.05 exploit forks and experiments by IDC alongside the PS4 Exploit Host by Al Azif. :thumbsupxf2:

Here are links to some current theories from the Barthen Method topic:
Finally, below are some other PS4 MEME and Tweets making rounds on Twitter today:
Cheers to @B7U3 C50SS and @SSShowmik for tips in the PSXHAX Shoutbox!

yes you can if you have cfw. ps3 has the keys and if you actually look at the keys file you would notice priv=3.55 that was the latest key released since 3.55 which all games 4.82 are using 3.55 private key
That's not what I meant. What I meant is that latest games are not available on PS3. Latest games are only being released on PS4... If someone sells their PS4 and buys a PS3 because it has CFW, this doesn't mean they can play latest games...

ps3 has held strong for what 12yrs now and the graphics are quite good for this old beast.

games aren't being pushed as often but what others fail to see is ps4 won't ever have cfw this is what we are getting maybe workaround without network but its about being great full what we have or look elsewhere if you get what I mean.

Ok we try see more, know not understand arch good. Not case 3 layer hypervisor.

Rest mode attack by Volodymyr attack custom southbridge CPU, main CPU/APU disable offline save power, custom southbridge CPU core take over. But we see attack persist between reboot?

Discussion here Jeff Rigby suggest southbridge handle decrypt stream bluray/other + encrypt hdcp out, happen inside southbridge. Ask, does key pass custom southbridge for decrypt gpu in there?

how is the process of unpacking? suppose you have created a fake pkg with a xyz passcode, when we send it running how does it know that the passcode is xyz? the pkg will then go into the user \ app where it will then be mounted in the mnt \ sandbox in the current process can you see what command is being launched?

the system is generating these pkgs which are debug pkg no different then the ps3 if you look at how that was done isn't really different.

they are just defined with debug keys using the system to create the pkg which generates the same structure as the initial retail pkg

@mohammed Your a cheapo for real! You can't be serious about game prices online stores and psn especially has sales for games especially if they feel new ones aren't making quotas. And that's just for ps4 games alone ps3 games go for a few bucks now as well.

these are not so easy to attack I've looked thro alot of it even run a machine identical to it and attacking is possible but not easy it can take multiple hits without breaking a sweat unless you break sandbox then it becomes unstable
