Recently there has been a few threads that allow people to run the PS4HEN from things like Android or Rasberry PI and it came to mind the same thing can be done with little effort from a wifi usb stick.

So here is a bit of info on that... the wifi stick i used was a 16gb Connect Wireless Stick and you will need PS4-HEN-VTX.

Just plug the usb stick into your pc and copy the exploit folder from the PS4-HEN-VTX (master.zip) archive to the root of the drive.

Unplug the usb stick from the pc as it will not serve files over wifi while it is plugged into the usb port.

The wifi usb stick has its own battery and you can turn it off an on pressing a button on the side of it. turn it on, a light will flash on it to indicate that it is on.

Goto the PS4 wifi network settings and look for the SanDisk Connect XXXXX ssid and setup the connection using the auto settings, there is no need to set dns and stuff.

Once the ps4 is connected to the wifi stick open the WWW broswer and goto http://172.25.63.1/ and you should have the list of files on the stick.

You can then go into the exploit folder and select index.html and it will launch the exploit.

You can also make a bookmark to http://172.25.63.1/myconnect/exploit/index.html and it will launch the exploit straight from the bookmark

There is also some settings you can use to change the ssid and add WPA2 password to the wifi connection and set the power save timer (auto off)

so I might be able use A android app like Xplore file manager to
host my server with the said files in one folder and just navigate to said files via browser? (a long about way like henkaku server host) that's nice ^_^

I've been using this PS4HEN version with my OpenWRT router. Replace User's Guide with it using uhttpd and dnsmasq to fake User's Guide page then you will load the exploit instead. I think it's the easiest way to load PS4HEN.
I too have a open wrt router/modem with USB storage/sharing. Going to have to investigate.

On another note I smell another dongle coming soon. Still have my mini avr and other dongle too.

there seems to be a bit of confusion with the usb drive.

the Connect Wireless Stick I used acts as a stand alone wifi webserver without any pc or other device. it has its own built in battery so it can run totally free of any plugs/wires.
you do not need any modem or other devices for the connect stick to serve the files.

the connect stick does not connect to the internet so there is no chance of the ps4 updating. the sandisk connect mobile app does have an option to connect to a wifi ssid for internet but we are not using that app here.

to put files onto the usb stick you use it like a normal usb drive and plug it into a pc and copy files onto it. when you remove it from the pc you can press the power button on the connect stick and it will power up its internal webserver and wifi and allow you to access the files on the stick over wifi.

you cannot do this with a normal usb drive as it has no webserver/wifi.

you should be able to host the exploit files on anything that will act as a webserver and have some sort of connection option(wifi/Ethernet).

I used the connect stick because they are very cheap around $20 but if you can find other usb storage devices with inbuilt wifi/webserver you should be able to use them.

if you want to go to the extreme method you can use the Intel Compute Stick. this has windows 10 installed on it, in short its a pc in a stick.

you can do the same sort of thing by installing a webserver onto it like apache or something like it. you would then place the exploit files into the webservers htdocs or www folder. then you would start a wifi hotspot by opening the command prompt(cmd.exe) and enter the following commands.
Code:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Exploit_SSID key=WifiPassword
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
Exploit_SSID would be the ssid you connect to with the ps4
WifiPassword is the password for the wifi connection

it will also be isolated from the internet so there is no chance of the ps4 updating unless you go into the adapter settings and enable internet sharing to the hot spot adapter/connection.

this will also work on any windows pc/laptop/tablet that has a wifi card/dongle.

Stooged this is much appreciated. Much easier than running off pc every time, I went out and bought one at microcenter in the usa it was 22.99, follows your guide and it works great! For anyone else I made the mistake of copying all the files onto the usb which caused my ps4 to crash. Only the exploit folder is needed.

Big noob question, is it okay to run ps4exploit.exe program off computer and connecting via WiFi with the dns settings of the exploit program. Is this dangerous? I’ve unchecked all firmware update settings upon doing this.
