Recently there has been a few threads that allow people to run the PS4HEN from things like Android or Rasberry PI and it came to mind the same thing can be done with little effort from a wifi usb stick.

So here is a bit of info on that... the wifi stick i used was a 16gb Connect Wireless Stick and you will need PS4-HEN-VTX.

Just plug the usb stick into your pc and copy the exploit folder from the PS4-HEN-VTX (master.zip) archive to the root of the drive.

Unplug the usb stick from the pc as it will not serve files over wifi while it is plugged into the usb port.

The wifi usb stick has its own battery and you can turn it off an on pressing a button on the side of it. turn it on, a light will flash on it to indicate that it is on.

Goto the PS4 wifi network settings and look for the SanDisk Connect XXXXX ssid and setup the connection using the auto settings, there is no need to set dns and stuff.

Once the ps4 is connected to the wifi stick open the WWW broswer and goto http://172.25.63.1/ and you should have the list of files on the stick.

You can then go into the exploit folder and select index.html and it will launch the exploit.

You can also make a bookmark to http://172.25.63.1/myconnect/exploit/index.html and it will launch the exploit straight from the bookmark

There is also some settings you can use to change the ssid and add WPA2 password to the wifi connection and set the power save timer (auto off)

Just went out and bought me the sandisk connect wireless usb and followed this guide with no problems. Works really well and is useful when all I want to do is play the games. If I want to send down additional payloads, I switch to my PC. I was also running the android method too.

I know thx. I ask him if he has had any problem with the 16GB and its format

When I tried to configure the WiFi connection, a DNS error appeared ... however, the USB connection works.. :cautious:

The first time I've loaded the index page, the PS4 has shut down ..
The second time the load of the exploit has worked and I have been able to play
But the PS4 does not turn off ... it remains in the state: "Preparing to turn off"

Any ideas? :(

@justins02stang It's a normal error. You have to configure the WiFi connection. Don't use automatic configuration.

IP address setting: Automatic.
DHCP host name: Do not specify.
DNS settings: Automatic.
MTU settings: Automatic.
Proxy Server: Do not use.

When you finish, perform a connection test. The DNS error will be displayed
This error occurs because the USB doesn't have an Internet connection.

Close the Settings menu, launch the Web Browser and access the IP http://172.25.63.1/

I've done this process and it has worked

I bought the 32gb Sandisk Connect wireless usb.

The usb already has a bunch of Sandisk folders containing placeholder folders for pics and videos.

I didn't do any formatting. I extracted the contents of psx-hen--vortex-master.zip on the root of the drive, as I like this PS4 hen version. You can download it from the github repo. Just get the normal one, not Linux or Windows versions.

The contents is small and because the PS4 can read it I'm assuming it is using either fat32 or exfat. It doesn't matter which use in all honesty.

I then web browse to the folder and launch the index.html file in the exploit folder.

You are only concerned by the fat formats if you have to anything over 32gb so you would use exfat I believe. Which is why exfat is preferred when copying pkgs to flash usb
