Recently we reported on Setting Up & Building Payload.bin, PS4 1.76 Payload Packets, a PS4 MemPatch Payload ELF and today PlayStation 4 developer MODDED_WARFARE shared a NetCat GUI for PlayStation 4 Payload injecting via the Webkit Playground with details below. :extremelyhappy:

Download: NetCat GUI.zip (2.2 MB) / NetCat GUI.zip (Mirror) / NetCat GUI v1.1.zip (3.7 MB)

To quote: I just made a little tool for injecting payloads with netcat and thought someone on here might find a use for it. I'm sure some other people must of made something similar/better but all I could find was the batch file method.

It's pretty basic but does allow you to drag & drop your payload file into the tool and will also store your IP so that you don't need to type it in each time you open the program.

The application is packed but not obfuscated.
Thanks to @MODDEDWARFARE and both @HydrogenNGU and @raedoob in the PSXHAX Shoutbox for the heads-up on this news!

is this what the ps4 scene coming too? recreations off the same thing but in different format ?
Once Linux can be installed on newer PS4 consoles we'll also see a rehashing of all the old homebrew games and apps ported over from PSP to PS3 to PS Vita to PS4.

I don't mind the emulators since they reproduce commercial quality games that are playable, but I can live without the overly simplified stuff people make just to call themselves devs... hey I made a line, give me my badge already!! :p

It's not about recreating the same thing. In the programming world, you have to program with efficiency. Top-Down design, find a complex problem that's big, then work your way down to smaller pieces where you can't code it anymore.

Where I'm getting at is that RE's are making work easier for others, not just making a clone of someone's work. PS4 has potential all around, don't blame the developers when they're the ones working hard on this every day to use it to their advantage to self-learn on how to reverse code. It's a pretty neat way to educate yourself if you have no mentors to be there for you. Everyone that reverses code shares things around, or recreates to make it more simplified for other individuals.

So every little crumb counts in programming. Unless you know... you become a Script Bunny :p
