PS3 999 downgrader not working

Try installing the Rebug 3.55 Downgrader 9.99.

Tried that and failed, says no update data found
This was the exact file (Renamed of course and in the PS3/UPDATE FOLDER) REBUG_CRC[d597208c]_FW[v3.55.4_RE_-_'999'_DOWNGRADER

nope that's the other issue no XMB.
I tried with my origional HDD and that failed. So I put a newly formated hdd in and same exact screen connect controller 999...

You do got the blue ray drive hooked up?

Well now that you mention it no I do not...
Then try the downgrader I assume?

The update won't work without the drive plugged up as far as I know. You would have to use the No Blu-ray drive firmware.

Have drive plugged in. I get no applicable update data found when using the downgrader file. I get the same with ofw in there. With 4.82 and 4.86 CFW I get corrupted data error. Bout ready to think this ps3 is toast lol.

In case the drive plugged in isn't functioning properly, have you tried any of the NoBD Firmware such as Ferrox or Overflow to see if it gives the same result?

I will try now and the error it gives when it fails on firmware is 8002f2B4
