PS3 OFW 4.81 Backup Games Injection LICDIR Mods Listing and Guide

Yesterday we saw a brief guide covering PS3 Games with Older LIC.DAT Titles, and @ShadixAced shared a link HERE of a PlayStation 3 game compilation listing that can be injected with backups using PARAM.SFO license directory modifications with update patches running on OFW 4.75 through 4.81.

If you want to prepare the specified games for the console on the console, then see below: The method, how to make the game work, is pretty simple. The game should have an official patch (and how else will we launch it from the internal disk?).

The patch is being unpacked, the contents of USRDIR, except for EBOOT.BIN and updated files (if any) are taken from the disk version. PARAM.SFO (from the disk) is edited. Change the Category from DG to HG and App Version to the patch version.

Can I make a backup of PS3 with the injected games?

No, I mean if I want to add more games, can I get more and restore it? Or the injected games (before backup) will be removed?

I know that's a dumb question, Sorry.

restoring a backup = reformat... so adding new games and then restoring a backup will not work. You will have to DTU the old and new games together... there's no way to avoid that.

The question is if you want to keep your saves. If you don't want to keep your saves then just FTP the old as well as new games in your CFW PS3 then DTU to OFW PS3 and you're done.

But if you want to keep the stuff in your current OFW PS3 then this is, in my opinion, the fastest: Delete all game and data install in OFW PS3 > DTU from OFW PS3 to CFW PS3 > FTP the old & new games > DTU from CFW PS3 to OFW PS3.

I have not done this personally but it should work.

Seems like it would be cheaper for you to just look for a used PS3 with CFW installed. That's how I did it. Buy the hardware and DIY.

Good one, but no one is sold with a cheap price, these sellers pay us for the CFW, even if there's ofw, nothing's cheap.

But hey don't be desperate, actually I'm not, waiting for the WebKitSploit progress till they hack the 4.81 OFW!
