PS3 WebKitSploit and PS3 Playground WIP Github Forks by Esc0rtd3w

Following his PS3 OFW PSID Dump Tool Tutorial and recent d0 / d1 pdb file findings PlayStation 3 developer @esc0rtd3w (Twitter) set up some new work-in-progress Github forks for a PS3 WebKitSploit and PS3 Playground port.

The PS3 WebKitSploit is based on original PS4 code from Cryptogenic and qwertyoruiopz focusing on PS3 3.xx / 4.xx code execution, while the PS3 Playground WebKit exploit port is based on CTurt and Cryptogenics PS4 code.

From the README.md file, to quote: PS3 Playground

A collection of PS3 tools and experiments using the WebKit, Flash, and other options.
We are only testing on firmware 4.81 only at the moment.

THIS REPO IS FOR THE PUBLIC PS3 COMMUNITY TO EXPLORE AND TEST ON THEIR OWN

OUR TEAM IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON THIS PROJECT PRIVATELY AND WILL UPDATE WHEN FINISHED!

There are a lot of files here for reference and exploration.

Once more testing has been done, these will be cleaned up over time.

Esc0rtd3w like many other members i still have those files and i vow not to touch them unless you say so and im willing to delete them right now but i am keeping them just incase you lose your backups so then i could give you those files , and dont let this ruin your work you worked hard enough.

when you release it me and many other members will prove that the credits are for you and the team and not for anybody else , also if you need any help in testing i am willing to help as i have a super slim console with 4.81 ofw (emmc chip) so if you need help testing stuff just pm me im willing to brick my console for testing and i totally support you and i Really like the way you handled the situation and i also support the team and i just want to thank you and your team for everything.

I'm keeping the files, in case all copies get lost at least I can spread it again to prevent a second Dreamcast aka unhackable console.

True, I must have messed up and remembered the wrong console. I know there was one that was notoriously difficult to hack, I just cannot remember

It did that yesterday, but sometime late afternoon yesterday it started working again. Now around noon today it gave that error again.

I'm also wondering why it happens, maybe the hosting he uses is too cheap?

I'm pretty sure that is the issue. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. If so that would explain that.
