PS4 6.02 Top Secret Method for Games Rumored Incoming via Zecoxao

For those following, this discussion is moved from the ongoing PS4 6.XX JSC_ConcatMemcpy WebKit Exploit POC thread and based on the Tweets below is not to be confused with M0rph3us1987's 35c3 Speech later this month.

While there is no ETA just yet, established PlayStation scene developer @zecoxao announced on Twitter the following from the embedded Tweets below to quote:

"Top Secret method for ps4 6.02 coming soon..." followed by "reminding everyone that this is a method, NOT an exploit. it'll only be good for things like games, nothing else" and also "once it's patched, it'll be over again."

This rumored 6.02 PlayStation 4 method has also been confirmed as working on 6.20 now, and comes following both the Method to Handle PS4 Fake PKGs & SELF / FSELF and PS4 PKG Install from Internal HDD via FTP & BGFT Method by PS4 scene developer @flatz.

What are the chances the video app exploit is connected to the secret game method in some way? I know zecoxao said it isn't but you never know.

So we’re better off just updating now to 6.20 instead of staying on 6.02? Cuz I’m sure they’ll rollout 6.30 shortly after this exploit comes out.

35c3 convention hype ! re-read the news article and think back how various high ups have been smug, they building hype. Big contract deals no doubt. This is going to play out SO EPIC. Like some Oceans 11 movie. Unlike Geohotz who reversed engineered and took direct credit. These people staying out of the spotlight, orchestrating with players playing the whole fricken world.

So, since the wording is Its not an Exploit or Kxploit, just a method... to install Custom Firmware like Rebug? Allieviating dryspells and getting regular updates?

I remember Dean was in the news awhile back saying he was retiring from MultiMan, which makes sense if we aren't after a "Golden Firmware" or exploits anymore. I bet it is, because that part about Once its done, its over. Heck yeah, I'm totally up to leaving OFW long behind.

I read on Reddit the Method needs PSN, so it would only work on the latest firmware? I won't update my 5.05 PS4 for something like that.
