PS4 6.02 Top Secret Method for Games Rumored Incoming via Zecoxao

For those following, this discussion is moved from the ongoing PS4 6.XX JSC_ConcatMemcpy WebKit Exploit POC thread and based on the Tweets below is not to be confused with M0rph3us1987's 35c3 Speech later this month.

While there is no ETA just yet, established PlayStation scene developer @zecoxao announced on Twitter the following from the embedded Tweets below to quote:

"Top Secret method for ps4 6.02 coming soon..." followed by "reminding everyone that this is a method, NOT an exploit. it'll only be good for things like games, nothing else" and also "once it's patched, it'll be over again."

This rumored 6.02 PlayStation 4 method has also been confirmed as working on 6.20 now, and comes following both the Method to Handle PS4 Fake PKGs & SELF / FSELF and PS4 PKG Install from Internal HDD via FTP & BGFT Method by PS4 scene developer @flatz.

It's useless method if it need psn. Sony will patch it immediately. And game over.

Maybe psn is only needed for "first run", and then you can use offline, really is hard to even speculate with no info, who knows what method this is and how exactly works.

But, if there's no option to install things like with hen , i doubt that this will be very useful in long term, and not worth updating for us who already have 5.05.

I hope that everything be clear very soon.

My best guess is that this will be method to inject and play games on new consoles, like brazilian method, hit and run, install few games, and thats it

It's just the start.
Have patience guys, at least they are trying something out. In the beginning we also needed Internet to activate hen, but now it can be done offline.

So i would suggest wait a bit more and see what the devs can figure out.

Well hopefully we might be able to use the method to download games from psn? Then set ps4 to offline mode and play them forever as long as we don't sign back in? Of course this will mean none of our kexploited 5.05 library will work but hopefully there's a way to play these titles offline somehow
