Proceeding the 7.02 PS4 KEX, 6.72 PS4 Webkit Port, 6.72 PS4 Payloads and the 6.72 PS4JB Exploit today PlayStation 4 developer @MODDEDWARFARE returns via Twitter with PS4 Backporter v1.4 tool for backporting 6.72 to 5.05 FPKG Games alongside a new demo video below from his YouTube Channel and more updates!

This comes following the PS4 6.72 to 5.05 Backporting Tutorial, SELFUtil by Znullptr, PS4 RiPKiT/Modding/Cheat/BackPort Tool and EZ PS4 Downporter utility for backporting 6.72 games to run on 5.05 Firmware with a Jailbroken console.

Here are some PS4 Backporter v1.0.exe notes from his Tweets below:

• Still very much work in progress and has a few bugs. Will release a new version later. A known bug right now is that you can't set the output path to the root of the drive. If you do it wont save the final pkg file.
  
  
• Also won't work with EA titles right now. Due to all the extra patching that's needed to get those games working.
  
  
• Drag pkg file into "input pkg file". Click the button.

This tool includes and makes use of:

• Python Downgrade Scripts by Flat_z
• UnfSelf by @DimosGsxR
• gengp4 by XVortex

You must have installed:

• Python 2.7
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC

These are required for the tool to work correctly ^^^

On spanish windows 7 I can generate "Blackport whole game" however, when I try "Create a Blackport patch" it start and finish (say done!) but patch is missing!

windows 10 64bit. seemes to work flawless, havent tested finished product. in the middle of doing apps2usb cause i was trying a few other of these tools and started to delete wrong folder. yes ouch!
so far it seems about the average time as other tools, but the auto patch only is a nice feature.

my only concern is that when i use pkg view it fails to load contents but when i check for latest update that works. so im not sure if the pkg view is out of date.

but unlike the other tools it does say system 5.05.
so im hoping it will work

we launch these games just like any other correct? if not i must of missed that. (other tools load game but i get a ce-4xxxx error every time using hen 2.1.4)

I'm constantly getting System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'path+file\pkg_extract\param.sfx'. Glad there's still people sharing their ready-made stuff

Notes:
Make sure to install the provided files to your pc. I had to uninstall the new version of vc_redist.x64 and install the one provided by the Dev.

Hope this helps.
