Download: PS4 Backporter v1.4.zip (76.5 MB)

Spoiler: Depreciated

This comes following the PS4 6.72 to 5.05 Backporting Tutorial, SELFUtil by Znullptr, PS4 RiPKiT/Modding/Cheat/BackPort Tool and EZ PS4 Downporter utility for backporting 6.72 games to run on 5.05 Firmware with a Jailbroken console.

Here are some PS4 Backporter v1.0.exe notes from his Tweets below:
  • Still very much work in progress and has a few bugs. Will release a new version later. A known bug right now is that you can't set the output path to the root of the drive. If you do it wont save the final pkg file.

  • Also won't work with EA titles right now. Due to all the extra patching that's needed to get those games working.

  • Drag pkg file into "input pkg file". Click the button.

I have the same problem. In the intro it says if if the output path is the root of your drive the patch PKG wont save. This for now a bug. I only have a local disk (C drive) where the output path is saved and thats why it wont save. In the video you see he is using a G path to save the patch PKG I think its not his root drive.

works fine, the creating a patch function did not work properly for me which is a shame but 9/10 tool totally worth a download to anyone wondering

Keep gettng this error
Code:
System.ArgumentException: Illegal characters in path.
   at System.IO.Path.CheckInvalidPathChars(String path, Boolean checkAdditional)
   at System.IO.Path.GetExtension(String path)
   at backporting.Form1.؀(String )

Hmm after first try of doing RE2 it fails at menu screen. CE-4xxx something. Using just patch option got game to instal and play. can confirm RE2 is backported correctly just using patch option. Than you again.

What I mean is Keep the JB private. Release the PKG files and make them all work with 5.05. It’s a simple advice for developers for future Jailbreaks.
