This comes following the PS4 6.72 to 5.05 Backporting Tutorial, SELFUtil by Znullptr, PS4 RiPKiT/Modding/Cheat/BackPort Tool and EZ PS4 Downporter utility for backporting 6.72 games to run on 5.05 Firmware with a Jailbroken console.

Here are some PS4 Backporter v1.0.exe notes from his Tweets below:

• Still very much work in progress and has a few bugs. Will release a new version later. A known bug right now is that you can't set the output path to the root of the drive. If you do it wont save the final pkg file.
  
  
• Also won't work with EA titles right now. Due to all the extra patching that's needed to get those games working.
  
  
• Drag pkg file into "input pkg file". Click the button.

This tool includes and makes use of:

• Python Downgrade Scripts by Flat_z
• UnfSelf by @DimosGsxR
• gengp4 by XVortex

You must have installed:

• Python 2.7
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC

These are required for the tool to work correctly ^^^

i tried with crash team racing and resident evil 2 remake and they worked perfectly but pes20 it gave me error while insalting the game then on the game bar i got corrupted data

• error: Shadow of the Tomb Raider PS4 DUPLEX, Control PS4 DUPLEX

I'm trying to backport RE2 patch 1.14, but I'm not getting anything in the output_pkg folder, it's just blank.

Any ideas?

Hello guys, I'm having same error as @Dragon1112 mentioned before here:

So there is an update that backports the game updates coming later tonight? Also do we backport the game then the update r just install the 6.72 game then install backported update?

@johnstone I think you just have to install the backported update on top of the original game, I don't believe you have to backport the game as well.
