PS4 HEN Enable Updated PlayStation VR Payload with Source Code

I have been messing around with trying to get my VR headset to work with 4.05 for a little while, and because the VR headset is updated to the latest firmware it wouldn't work.

Just recently @XVortex pointed out you can poke a memory value to sort of spoof the system firmware version, so I tried what he said and put together a Enable_VR.bin payload (load the HEN payload and then load the VR payload because the Web exploit will say invalid import map, or use this idc.zip modified IDC exploit to launch it as I have added the 5.05 sections so it does not complain about import map) to poke the offset and found it allowed my VR headset to work.

Update: Ok I sorted out the problem and merged the enable VR mod into XVortex's HEN 1.3 so you can now just run this 1 HEN payload and play VR with the source code below:

I only have 1 VR game to test on at the moment as I have to download the VR games now, but it is Resident Evil 7 and its working with my latest updated VR 3.10 and 4.05 + HEN.

just a tip for people...

if you use the hen payload by xvortex (ps4-hen-vtx.bin) you have to load the Enable_VR.bin first then turn the headset on then load the ps4-hen-vtx.bin and it should work. if you load the xvortex hen before turning the headset on you will get an error.

if you use the hen payload by VV1LD you can load the hen first if you like or the Enable_VR first it does not really matter with this version of hen, the VV1LD hen works better with the Enable_VR payload.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!! As hinted by @FFTHEWINNER in ANOTHER THREAD we can try to use this paylod or a modification of it and try to lunch 4.07 games (because same keys of 4.05) and see if they trow errors....

Excellent solution! This allowed me to setup my 3.10 headset and launch my psvr game. My one concern though, is I'm attempting to dump my psvr game. I launch IDC, inject PSVR payload, then go to inject ps4 dumper to dump my psvr game and get "System may be vulnerable but does not have a valid import map!". I even tried IDC, PSVR Exploit, turning on headset, and then ps4dumper, but get the same result. Any way around this?

@stooged as XVortex shared his code on his github repository, wouldn't be feasible to add the spoof poke to his HEN implementation?

To be honest, I can't build his HEN repository with Debian. LOL

I have tried but because you need to turn the vr headset on before you load hen the 2 cant be in the same payload.

I was just trying to add it into the vv1ld hen but i was getting the same issue.

If i can manage to merge the 2 i will post it

This already is a FW version spoofer....
But not going to run any 4.07 game with this...
Only installing them, but not running.
As explained elsewhere, headers of the encrypted files still won't match FW version contained in the SAMU.
So don't get too excited..
