PS4 HEN Enable Updated PlayStation VR Payload with Source Code

I have been messing around with trying to get my VR headset to work with 4.05 for a little while, and because the VR headset is updated to the latest firmware it wouldn't work.

Just recently @XVortex pointed out you can poke a memory value to sort of spoof the system firmware version, so I tried what he said and put together a Enable_VR.bin payload (load the HEN payload and then load the VR payload because the Web exploit will say invalid import map, or use this idc.zip modified IDC exploit to launch it as I have added the 5.05 sections so it does not complain about import map) to poke the offset and found it allowed my VR headset to work.

Update: Ok I sorted out the problem and merged the enable VR mod into XVortex's HEN 1.3 so you can now just run this 1 HEN payload and play VR with the source code below:

I only have 1 VR game to test on at the moment as I have to download the VR games now, but it is Resident Evil 7 and its working with my latest updated VR 3.10 and 4.05 + HEN.

Hi guys, thanks for all your work.

I just ended up refreshing the cache and Hen 1.8 + VR is working. I have to say though I'm running the VR rig (4.10) on both a 5.05 (PS4Pro and a 6.20 (PS4Pro) and the VR Rig is much smoother on the former. I wonder if there is anyway fw version 4.00 will work or if anybody has that version or is it just my imagination..

Is it an earlier fw version thats being used for this pre 4.00

I was running the 4.00 before I made the error in upgrading on the 6.20 machine. But up until then both units were running the 4.00 Vr rig perfectly..

I hope that makes sense...

Any help or thoughts welcome.

Hey everyone, I am a total noobie to all of this, let me just say how awesome this forum is and how helpful people are in helping others. I never comment on threads but always feel compelled to say at least that. Keep up the good work.

Now, to my problem (apart from being an idiot)

All I have managed to successfully do is on my cfw 5.05 is install downloaded pkgs or games. I run my jailbreak from the system cache via the help option in the menu.

I am trying hard to get my head around how to get my Vr working again after it updated on my ps4 v6.

I have no idea how to host a file on my own server lol.. I was hoping there may be someone out there that could put an end to my 2-3 days of frustration and searching the web and give me a super basic, step by step instruction on how exactly I can get it going again?

My sincere apologies for my ignorance. Hopefully one day I will be able to help someone else as I learn along the way myself..

Ps Did I mention I need super basic step by step instructions haha?

Not really valid to vr but if this spoof works then surely same principles apply for higher fw games and spoofing? Sorry if I'm being silly and not understanding
