PS4 HEN VTX: Homebrew Enabler for PS4 4.55 by XVortex Arrives

Since the 4.55 PS4 Holy Grail release today PlayStation 4 developer @XVortex announced HERE that PS4 Homebrew ENabler (HEN) for 4.55 Firmware is now released with the latest version linked below.

While deimei1430 reports that "VTXHEN is more stable I don't get any hang or random shutdown," Valenroy also confirms that "installation to external HDD is still not possible yet."

PS4 developer VVildCard777 made available DumpFile455, and @stooged also shared some related PlayStation 4 updates today, including Ps4_Serve2_v1_5.apk and usb_455_vr_hen.zip updated with XVortex 4.55 HEN + Update Blocker and added the modded HEN with VR Enable mod.

Excellent about external HDD. It is getting better and better every minutes.

I will stay lower than 4.05 for now until they said its okay. The lower the better. You never know. I am on Fw 2.57

@mtnjustme thanks, the new hen.bin is version 1.4 i guess. I still takes a couple of times due to the memory thing. Also it gives no error in debug menu -> install packages anymore. So this must be it bingo, unicorns!

TEKKEN 7 RUNS ON 4.05 OFW!!?
IF YOU ARE ON 4.05 DON'T UPDATE TO 4.55 !!

i have 2 ps4 1 on 4.05 and the other is on 4.55
I used my 4.55 to dump Horizon Zero Dawn , Nioh and Nier AND TEKKEN 7
I said what would happen if i try them on 4.05 so i did
and Guess what they actually WORKED !!! on my 4.05 Perfectly.
Trophies are there ! i haven't check savegames but i guess they work bcz they are there in system storage

So if you are on 4.05 and you want to play +4.05 games just download them Run them and play them on 4.05
Don't update unless to 4.55 is 100% better than 4.05 and more stable (this is my advice)

The reason to update to 4.55 is boost mode for ps4 pro users and backup playing from an external hard drive.

I have 2 PS4s as well, same as you but I have found 4.55 allot more stable, I don’t get random shutdowns on 4.55 where as 4.05 is hit and miss so would update to 4.55 if only one console! As well as external hdd and pro enhancements would be worth it.

I know the higher the OFW the better
But for now most people want to play new games (people with Fat and Slim PS4)
4.55 exploit is still under development and the only advantage is +4.05 games so if we can run them why would we update to 4.55 and there is no External HHD support and mostly the exploit is not that stable
So maybe just for a much better improvements then we update to 4.55

@P3T3s most people are happy about the 4.05 so now or one more week then they update
just to be safe ... for some people 4.05 more stable to them more than 4.55
