Since the 4.55 PS4 Holy Grail release today PlayStation 4 developer @XVortex announced HERE that PS4 Homebrew ENabler (HEN) for 4.55 Firmware is now released with the latest version linked below. :love:

While deimei1430 reports that "VTXHEN is more stable I don't get any hang or random shutdown," Valenroy also confirms that "installation to external HDD is still not possible yet."

PS4 developer VVildCard777 made available DumpFile455, and @stooged also shared some related PlayStation 4 updates today, including Ps4_Serve2_v1_5.apk and usb_455_vr_hen.zip updated with XVortex 4.55 HEN + Update Blocker and added the modded HEN with VR Enable mod.

Making rounds on Twitter of interest today as well:

its not working.
i used pkg2usb with config to copy the game to external. after that, i deleted the app.pkg from internal, restart the ps4, start ps4hen and start the game: the data is corrupted, application can not be started

@azoreseuropa

Yeah, sounds about right. Don't think the it works correctly though, the app.pkg file still remains on the internal once the payload has been applied and the transfer has completed.

When you remove it manually, the game doesn't start. All the payload really does is transfer the file to USB drive and alter the app.db file on the PS4 to point the game at that file instead of the one on the internal.

It's basically a carbon copy of the database mod back in January made by the same dev.

Nevermind, I'm sure we'll get a proper release shortly.

sure, i have.... i tried this several times and with different games. still the same: if i delete the app.pkg from internal storage, the game wont boot

Thanks for the payload, have tested it on 4.05 and it works perfect. Keep in mind that the app.pkg must be on internal hdd, so it’s similar to my Database Mod but with this payload you don’t have to edit the app.db anymore. Great work !

its useless, and still the dev said it...

@zerodevide
it'd be more useful if it'd just copy it without changing its path in the database, that way in the future when packages seize to exist in the internet instead of dumping the game again u can just copy it to the usb and no need for making it a fake pkg again, since it's a fake pkg already as it is.
correct me if i'm wrong.
