PS4 Remote Play Open Source Client in Development by Delroth

We've seen several PS4 Remote Play homebrew applications enter and leave the PlayStation 4 scene including an Offline PS4 Remote Play Patcher, and recently developer delroth (aka matteyeux on Twitter) added his own open source PS4 Remote Play client WIP to Github which he states is is based on reverse engineered protocol documentation.

Note: this project is NOT affiliated with, funded, or in any way associated with Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Goal: having an open source implementation of the PS4 Remote Play protocol as well as a client which works on Linux. Both local and remote remote play should be supported.

Current status:

• Supports the initial registration protocol.
• Supports local "wake on LAN".

TODO:

• Draw the rest of the f-ing owl
  
• Local streaming protocol RE and implementation (video, audio, input).
• Remote streaming protocol RE and implementation (video, audio, input).
• PSN / OAuth based pairing and remote wakeup.

You can rename it, only user1, user2 no rename or no removal

Ios remote play works, but android asks to update app, i dont have xperia device and rooted device. Any device which registers using code provided should work. Maybe android app should be patched

Does this work with unactivated Vita(TV)s or unactivated PS4s or both?

Unactivated ps4 yes, un activated vita??? I think you can activate vita or vita tv. But try as it’s offline

Great work @Kiru2488 ! Been waiting for this for ages. I can now livestream my PS4 gameplays! Hopefully there is going to be a solo thread for it will tutorials.

@Kiru2488 for remote play on pc can we connect both pc and ps4 to one wifi modem without internet access? or we should coonect ps4 to pc with Lan cable?

Yes no need of internet. Just wifi signal. As its played locally. The best result i found without lag or low resolution is by connecting ps4 to router via lan, (then i DMZ my ip in router for vita)

Just a heads up though, In your tutorial video your MAC address showed for a few frames.

Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. You could help me, when I go to open the PS4 Remote Play program, even if I have it patched with the PS4 Remote Play Patcher automatic patch, the LOGIN window of Sony opens. Someone knows why or if you have to patch in another way, or someone can facilitate the one that is already patched please. Thank you.
