PS4 System Software / Firmware 12.00 OFW Live, Don't Update!

Alongside the PS5 Firmware 10.00 Update, proceeding the previous revision Sony also pushed live PS4 System Software / Firmware 12.00 OFW with the PS4UPDATE.PUP updates and official changelog detailed below.

As always, DON'T UPDATE if you wish to use PS4 Fake PKG Games via PS4 Torrents and Homebrew Apps whenever a new PS4 Jailbreak Exploit arrives in the PlayStation 4 Scene.

@sklopproton I'm really hoping you're right and someone has saved an EOL exploit for those of us stuck on the later PS4 firmwares. I've gotten a few PS4 Pros dirt cheap recently, but they're all on 11.52... so it may be a while.

I have been contemplating on upgrading to 11.00 firmware but confused shall I do it or not and here I am reading about 12.00 firmware released.

Can someone please suggest or advice whether shall I wait for 11.00 upgrade or get it done sooner because a 12.00 jailbreak must be around. I have no issues as such to operate on 9.00 but higher the better. Awaiting reply folks. Please suggest.

Just got a second PS4 on hand (Firmware 11.0). The store says that I can't use it online. I also have no plan to upgrade the firmware yet. But is it possible to upgrade it to the latest version and use it online?

@m34342 Banned consoles can't go online. If that's your case you can stay where you are or do an offline update, but you still can't go online if console been banned.

You cannot go online if console doesn't have latest firmware update neither.

I hope one day we could play PS4 games online just like we could with the PS3, or maybe even have CFW/more stable JBs. perhaps when sony stops updating their seventh and eighth-gen consoles

@blimblim04 thank you. I have plan to jailbreak it so I will keep it on 11.0. So, I i'll figure it out when I'm bored with it. The concept of banned console is new to me.

@Soppokuu yeah, I just found out that people can play GTA V online. Even play it with cheats.

I only found about jailbreaking my ps4 from a coworker of mine, so glad its pretty easy to do cause now i use it so much more then any of my other consoles that i own. its been so nice to use. so glad i didnt just do the auto software update when it continued to prompt me
