I dont know it myself since there are also things i dont know how to search them like Walking Speed Modifier, Infinite Jumps, 1 Hit Kill etc. Difficulties are also something i dont know for sure.

i would have also searched them like you with decreased Value and then increased but the saves must be 100% identical except for the difficulty.
Also try 2 Bytes maybe that will work

you cannot load/switch each different saves and then search for address on ps4cheater.. the address changes. i THINK it must be done on one that is currently loaded.

Is it because of ps4 memory or ps4cheater works like this? I tried such method on other consoles 3ds, psp, psvita and it worked fine. Unfortunately, there is no way to change difficulty ingame, it’s determined when you start new game.

@sushixxx Man, seriously. If you didn’t know search trick with switch/load difference save files works, why confuse me and everybody else by saying so mighty that it wont work at all?

Thanks man! With your simple advice to use 2 byte value i,ve found offset for difficulty in star ocean 5 without need to replay game twice to get chaos difficulty!

Switched 2 save files with 2 different difficulties about 10 times and made search exact value of 2 bytes either 0 for earth difficulty save and 1 for galaxy difficulty.

So if anyone needs the offset

9F9D9DD8 2 bytes value 3 gives 4 stars to save file meaning chaos difficulty

9F9D9DD8 2 bytes value 2 gives 3 stars to save file meaning universe difficulty
