If you want to play the latest PS4 FPKG Games but aren't sure where to start, based on your PlayStation 4 Firmware version you would either click on the 6.72 6.72, 7.02 or 7.50-7.55 exploit live demo link above, host it yourself (following the guides linked below) or use wait for Al Azif's DNS Exploit Menu IPs to be updated with the latest PS4JB 2 code.

@thodorisk I'm new to this, so correct me if I'm wrong. I think backport of higher firmware than 7.55 will be released after firmware above 7.55 is jailbreak-able

@chokee I think that if a higher firmware than 7.55 is jailbreakable, then there is no need for backport because we already have the jailbreak for that firmware. That's my opinion but maybe you are right. I don't know..

Trying to deal with backported stuff and patching and all this is a pain. Just turned the ps4 on for the first time since 2019 and there's been a lot of progress. If it's best to update, what's the best fw to go to?

So I use the Exploit Host by Al Azif daily. I just opened it and suddenly all I get is "NO CATEGORIES FOUND" and a "REFRESH" button but that is all. It is all EMPTY SUDDENLY! What happened? Is there an alternative IP I can use? Can someone please tell me I want to launch the exploit.

Sometimes @Al Azif makes changes temporarily, so you may want to clear the cache / cookies or try again a bit later. Listed here are the current Al Azif DNS IPs... beyond those, we don't allow clone hosts so as always spammers will be banned.

Hey guys,
Haven’t had a PlayStation since the ps2 days but have recently acquired a PS4 on 6.72 and am unsure of whether or not to update it to 7.55.

I intended to use the PlayStation to play game fake package files. And the two things I’ve read conflicting things about are.

1) is the 6.72 jailbreak more stable/easier to run than 7.55,
2) if I stay on 6.72 how much will a novice like me struggle to either convert or find backported games intended for 7.55 firmware.

So my main question is should I update or not? Many thanks for any help or advice you guys can give me.

No. Do not update. It is not hard at all to use the patched updates.
