PS5 System Software / Firmware 23.01-07.40.00 Live, Don't Update!

Today Sony pushed live PS5 System Software / Firmware 23.01-07.40.00.06-00.00.00.0.0 since their previous PS5 OFW revision for those in the PlayStation 5 Scene with further details from the changelog below.

As always, DON'T UPDATE if you wish to use PS5 Game Backups and PlayStation 5 homebrew apps, emulators, etc whenever a full PS5 Jailbreak Exploit (PS5Jailbreak Status) in the PS5Scene becomes publicly available.

i'm keeping my 4.50 right where it's at. i see people wondering if we'll ever get a full jailbreak with this gen and, well, i'm prepared to go down with the ship lol have my 6.72 pro and pc in the meantime.

I’m on 4.03 on my ps5 and I don’t care how old it gets lol I will never update it I have my phat Ps3 CFW and my Ps4 pro on 9.00 and my Xbox Series X to keep me happy till then

@Chaos Kid Thats okay. Everything is always security but everything is hackable. That's about when and not if. It will be hack one day. Thats it.

@blimblim04 To be honest, two PS5 is really a waste of money. Surely, you want one of them to be jailbreak and one for online but to me, the online is only one that is a worthless, really. Sorry about my English.

@qamartheone, I didnt say everything is ALREADY hackable. Everything is always HACKABLE. It is a WHEN. Some is much longer than other but nothing is unhackable anyway.

I finally got a 2.50 PS5.

I'm still torn, do I update my 6.50 PS5 that has my user logged in and Okage? Maybe some day I can dump my 6.50 games from there?

FFVII Rebirth is coming... I might have to update my 6.50 because I've been a slave to FFVII since it came out in the 90s.
