TOMB5: Tomb Raider: Chronicles Decompiled Code Disassembly Project
PlayStation scene developers Gh0stBlade and zdimension have been working on a project known as TOMB5 to decompile Tomb Raider: Chronicles initially released on PlayStation (PS1) in November 2000 by Eidos Interactive and translate the disassembled code to C source code! 🤓

Below is where they're currently at with it, and if you'd like to lend a hand refer to the CONTRIBUTING.md.

What is this?

This repository contains decompiled code for the game Tomb Raider: Chronicles. All decompiled code is based off the final PlayStation and PC version. The goal is to decompile as much as possible since the original source code is reportedly lost.

It is not expected for decompiled code to be 1:1 with the original source code. However, functionality wise it will be the same. Further debugging of the original PlayStation version at a later phase will help map out any existing bugs.

All information (variable, file names, method names and data structures) have been obtained from debugging symbols (.SYM, .MAP), TRosettastone 3.0 and GAMEWAD.OBJ.

What are the current goals?

Current goals include decompiling all code up until the title screen sequence, ensuring it's fully correct then proceeding to decompiling in-game code. At this point in time the most critically required parts of code reside within the...
The Origin Big O: PC, PS4 Pro, Nintendo Switch & Xbox One X Consoles
Those dreaming to have the best of both worlds with an RTX Titan Gaming PC, PlayStation 4 Pro, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One X console all combined in one box with a custom Cryogenic hard line liquid cooling system may want to drool over the Big O by Origin PC.

While this custom PC is not available for sale, according to PCGamer.com to quote: "a similar system on the PC side using Origin PC's Genesis configuration and came to around $8,000, which didn't include a 14TB hard drive or Elgato 4K60 Pro. 🤑💰

Some of the part selections in the Big O are not offered by Origin PC (I didn't see an MSI Meg Z390 Godlike, for example), but the $8,000+ price tag is a rough approximation before factoring in the custom modded consoles and dock, which itself is custom designed as well."

Here are the Tech Specs of this truly ultimate gaming PC:

PC
  • Case: Custom ORIGIN PC GENESIS with RGB Lighting
  • Side Panels: Tempered Glass with HD UV Printing

PS Vita System Software / Firmware 3.71 Update, Blocks Trinity Exploit!
Following their previous PS Vita System Software update, today Sony released a PlayStation Vita Firmware 3.71 update which scene developer TheFloW has confirmed fixes all of the bugs used in the Trinity Exploit chain blocking those who update from using it.

:alert: Needless to say, it's advisable NOT to update as most PlayStation Vita sceners got a PS Vita or PlayStation TV to do fun stuff like jailbreaking, running exploits and homebrew on the handheld console while this revision patches the holes preventing such things as detailed in TheFloW's Security Blog.

As always, we'll update this article when Sony posts an official changelog for the PS Vita 3.71 Firmware update. :cautious:

Deadpool 60 FPS Mod PS4 Package (PKG) by Wastelander121
Last week he made available a Dishonored: Definitive Edition 60 FPS Mod PS4 PKG, and today @Wastelander121 returns bringing a Deadpool 60 FPS Mod PS4 PKG (CUSA-03528) via Twitter with a PlayStation 4 video of it in action from his YouTube Channel courtesy of Deppressiety.

Download: EP0002-CUSA03528_00-DEADPOOLPS400000-A0122-V0122.pkg (76.3 MB)

Spoiler: Depreciated

From the video's description: Allows Deadpool on PS4 to run at 60 FPS. Other changes in this mod are improved texture filtering (from 4 to 8) and Vsync. Video kindly recorded by Deppressiety.

Note: The frame rate spikes are due to the game constantly searching for an internet/PSN connection and if there isn't one available it causes the game to stutter. The same happens with the Xbox One version when an Xbox Live connection is not available.

 For more mods across all platforms consider joining their Mod Users Society Discord Channel as well! ;)
