PS3 WebKitSploit and PS3 Playground WIP Github Forks by Esc0rtd3w

Following his PS3 OFW PSID Dump Tool Tutorial and recent d0 / d1 pdb file findings PlayStation 3 developer @esc0rtd3w (Twitter) set up some new work-in-progress Github forks for a PS3 WebKitSploit and PS3 Playground port.

The PS3 WebKitSploit is based on original PS4 code from Cryptogenic and qwertyoruiopz focusing on PS3 3.xx / 4.xx code execution, while the PS3 Playground WebKit exploit port is based on CTurt and Cryptogenics PS4 code.

A collection of PS3 tools and experiments using the WebKit, Flash, and other options.
We are only testing on firmware 4.81 only at the moment.

THIS REPO IS FOR THE PUBLIC PS3 COMMUNITY TO EXPLORE AND TEST ON THEIR OWN

OUR TEAM IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON THIS PROJECT PRIVATELY AND WILL UPDATE WHEN FINISHED!

There are a lot of files here for reference and exploration.

Once more testing has been done, these will be cleaned up over time.

I signed in just to say that I personally will not touch a single file until Escort gives permission. Escort, I know you worked long and hard on this, and I feel it's only respectful and the right thing to do, to wait until you are ready for us to try anything. As for you, I'm sorry all this has happened. I hope you don't let it get you down too terribly much. Keep on trekking.

I saw your GBATemp thread about posting it on github. If you're going that route, remember, you could post a temp on Github and then polish it up afterwards, if you feel that posting is the best approach. But most importantly, don't let anyone rush you, no matter what. Only do what you feel comfortable and when you already.

Last but not least, thank you for everything, and for working through this. I'm sure the entire scene appeciates you.

I tried running it, but stopped halfway. What I was doing was morally wrong. I'm keeping the files, in case all copies get lost at least I can spread it again to prevent a second Dreamcast aka unhackable console.

But until Escort gives me and everyone else a green light and gives 'official' download links. These files will stay locked up, out of respect.

I said it multiple times, the way he handles this remarkably calm deserves an applause. We will give you and your team credit, we know you did this and not someone that stole some files for [$$$].

Do not let anything push you to release this earlier then need. If you need someone willing to test hit me up (Even if that means possible bricking or damage on my system). We can get SS PS3's in Belgium for € 40 incl shipping, I'd be willing to pay that if it helps move this project forward.

To everyone from now on this thread is going back to normal : it was a silly mistake of me leaking it to you lot I hold my hands up and bow my head down in shame. Me and escort have spoken in private and sorted this out. So let's all move on get the ps3 what it needs and some people who has the leaks can maybe also help out and share stuff

not affected really but yeah from past two months i daily, i mean like i used to do numerous check for the commits on github and any change on the ps3 playground !! all the best to you and your team !! we owe you a lot !! expectations on top !! Cheers!!
