Proceeding the 7.02 PS4 KEX, 6.72 PS4 Webkit Port, 6.72 PS4 Payloads and the 6.72 PS4JB Exploit today PlayStation 4 developer @MODDEDWARFARE returns via Twitter with PS4 Backporter v1.4 tool for backporting 6.72 to 5.05 FPKG Games alongside a new demo video below from his YouTube Channel and more updates!

This comes following the PS4 6.72 to 5.05 Backporting Tutorial, SELFUtil by Znullptr, PS4 RiPKiT/Modding/Cheat/BackPort Tool and EZ PS4 Downporter utility for backporting 6.72 games to run on 5.05 Firmware with a Jailbroken console.

Here are some PS4 Backporter v1.0.exe notes from his Tweets below:

• Still very much work in progress and has a few bugs. Will release a new version later. A known bug right now is that you can't set the output path to the root of the drive. If you do it wont save the final pkg file.
  
  
• Also won't work with EA titles right now. Due to all the extra patching that's needed to get those games working.
  
  
• Drag pkg file into "input pkg file". Click the button.

This tool includes and makes use of:

• Python Downgrade Scripts by Flat_z
• UnfSelf by @DimosGsxR
• gengp4 by XVortex

You must have installed:

• Python 2.7
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC

These are required for the tool to work correctly ^^^

No it's not like that there is a bug in the program even MODDED WARFARE mentioned it in a tweet

@Dragon1112 it is like that, but his tool still doesn't support backporting updates. But once it does, you will be able to install a backported update on top of an original game.

You can already do that if you patch the update manually.

EA Products isn't working today! Maybe in future releases Backporter it'll be changed.

I testing few ea games.
Nfs Heat, game started on 5.05, but without save. Everetime want to started begining again. Like a Demo. We will still waiting for this patch with ea games.

Battelfield V started without online services, but for offline working fine with save. (test without update 1.26, maybe is will be better)

Fifa 20, don't starting, is view massage - Corrupted file

Mk11,Soulcalibur VI, Spiderman Marvel, is working perfect too like everethig without ea games still working on 5.05.

Love this one!!! Super easy and i've had 99% success rate. Just cant get sonic team racing to work. can't wait for being able to backport the update pkg's too!!

I just used version 1.1 on Crash Team Racing.
The game works but it says the game is 119.8GB?
The game is only 13GB, is anyone else getting this?

backport the bases game whitout the update patch

I just used 1.1 again to install wargroove and I get the same issue, its supposed to be 350MB but its 106GB

Now there is 1.2 version as well which supports patches
