New PS5 Model CFI-1100B Weighs Less Due to Smaller Heatsink
While many in the PS5Scene are still struggling to Acquire a PS5 Console, a Lighter PS5 Model CFI-1100B with an upgraded stand alongside internal changes including a redesigned fan and smaller heatsink contribute to the 0.3 KG (0.6 LBS) weight reduction according to a report by Austin Evans of the PSReady YouTube Channel.
Although Sony previously confirmed the PS5 Fan Will Receive Optimization Software Updates during the PlayStation 5's lifecycle, for those who can't afford a Water Cooled PS5 Console it may be time for another PS5 Thermals Analysis with a brief summary of the new PS5 model's changes from the Tweets embedded below:
Rear exhaust temps are 3-5C higher
Weighs 0.3 KG or 0.6 LBS less
Heatsink is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller
Has a slightly redesigned fan
Upgraded stand

PS5 DualSense Controller Firmware Dumped, Decryption by Scene Devs Required
Proceeding the PS5 DualSense Prototype Motherboard, DualSense Wireless Controller Teardown Images, PS5 Controller Skins, PS5 DualSense Controller Disassembly Video with Faceplate Removal, DualSense PS5 Controller on Windows, DualSense Controller Python Script and his recent PS5 HD Camera Firmware / Files Dump developer @Hackinside (Twitter) dumped the PS5 DualSense Controller Firmware this weekend using a Beagle USB 5000 protocol analyzer device.
According to PSXDev and @zecoxao on Twitter the PS5 DualSense Controller Firmware Dump is currently encrypted, however, once decryption is accomplished by PS5 Scene devs it would be possible to perform controller handshakes with both the PlayStation 5 and other devices!

Similar to E3 2021, while Sony continues skipping external press conferences in lieu of hosting their own State of Play venues upcoming PlayStation titles are still included in Gamescom 2021's Opening Night Live virtual event in Cologne, Germany hosted by Geoff Keighley.
