Following the PS4 Trophy Error Fix today PlayStation 4 developers @zecoxao (Twitter) and @Joonie (Twitter) shared some PS4 6.72 / 5.05 ToDEX Payloads respectively to unlock some PS4 Debug / TestKit Features on Retail Jailbroken Consoles including the ability to play Fake PKG (FPKG) games with Debug Trophies installed by temporarily converting (via memory spoof) the Target ID to 0x82 (DEX).

As noted in the Tweets below, ToDEX only spoofs the PS4 Target ID to DEX and doesn't replace any modules, so to go back to a regular retail PS4 just restart the console since the required...

Awhile back we saw a leaked image of a PlayStation 5 console in a Factory Setting, and surfacing in PS5 News today on the popular Chinese bulletin board system BBS.A9VG.com comes some more leaked images of what appear to be swappable PlayStation 5 (PS5) White Console Plates that could make the task a bit simpler to change the PS5 color from white to black for DIY case modders.

Personally I feel black looks more PlayStation-esque as illustrated in the fan-made PS5 rendering Tweets HERE, however, feel free to share your comments on this in the PlayStation 5 Forums.

Leading the upcoming PlayStation Plus games free to PS Plus members in August are multiplayer party title Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and Infinity Ward's sequel Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered featuring upgraded PS4 visuals.

Another free online multiplayer weekend is coming to PS4 next month...

Proceeding his PS4 IOCTL Nabber IDA 7.0-7.2 Script, today PlayStation 4 developer @SocraticBliss shared via Twitter a handy PS4 Unfself Python Script tool to turn Fake Signed ELFs back into normal ELF files for those who find themselves needing to unfself some PS4 binaries.

Since sharing the PS4 6.72 to 5.05 Game Backporting Instructions proceeding the 6.72 PS4JB earlier this month, PlayStation 4 scene developer @zecoxao passed along some additional details via Twitter outlined in the Tweets below alongside an NP-32046-5 Helper Script to Fix PS4 Encrypted Trophy Errors by @Sorrow446 on Github for those experiencing errors including "Cannot start the application. (NP-32046-5)" or "An error has occurred. (NP-32046-5)" which PSDevWiki translates to the error SCE_NP_TROPHY_ERROR_INVALID_TRP_FILE_FORMAT at offset 0x80551616.

A quick script to aid the fixing of the PS4 NP-32046-5 error.

Cause

This error occurs when an attempt to launch a fpkg packaged with encrypted trophies is made.

Usage

1. Copy your unencrypted trophies folder (/user/trophy/) from your PS4 to the same directory as your game/update dump. The FTP payload or PS4-Xplorer is recommended.
2. Drag your dump folder onto helper.py.

Notes

• The script will abort the trophies copying process if it finds that your original trophies are already unencrypted or your unencrypted trophies for your dump couldn't be found.
• If your game/update dump trophies are encrypted, they'll be replaced with the decrypted ones if all goes well. Back them up before if you need them.
• All unencrypted trophies: /user/trophy/
