VPK Editor 1.2 & MaiDump PS Vita BG Image / Icon Editor by Qberty
If you're seeking to add a custom VPK livearea background image or icon then check out PS Vita developer qberty's (Twitter) multi-platform VPK Editor 1.2 which also supports MaiDump dumps with the changes below. :veryhappy:

VPK Editor 1.2 downloads for Windows, Mac, Linux and Linux 64 are available from Qberty's Blog, and to quote on the latest VPK Editor 1.2 update and current features:

PS Vita VPK Editor [UPDATE 1.2]

Hey there folks, I decided to make a simple cross-platform application to help users modify their VPK files thematically. My VPK Editor was designed to help you change up the graphic assets of your VPK’s livearea/icon.

FEATURES:
  • Opens any VPK file designed for the PS Vita
  • Let’s you change the icon, the livearea icon, and the livearea background image
  • Automatically converts the images (from JPEG or PNG) to the correct bit-depth (8 bit) supported by the PS Vita
  • Mai Dump ZIP support
CHANGELOG:

Version 1.2
  • Fixed squared window bug. (uses a widescreen friendly window size)
  • Added basic support for modifying the template XML
Version 1.1
  • Added Mai Dump ZIP support. You can now change the graphics of VPK’s and Dumps!
If there’s enough interest, I’ll continue to work on adding more features to it (like editing the template.xml with your own text).
CCCheaterX Tool (Unofficial Update) for PS3 CFW 4.81 by Darkxex
Following PS3 ControlConsole API (CCAPI) v2.70 Rev 6, today PlayStation 3 developer darkxex released an unofficial CCCheater update based on @barthen's previous work for those on PS3 4.81 CFW with details below. (-:

Download: cccheaterx.zip (1.9 MB) / CCCheaterX-master.zip / GIT

From @darkxex, to quote: [Tool] CCCheaterX (Unofficial Update of CCCheater for CFW 4.81)

Here's what he had to say, to quote: Hi, first sorry my bad English, I am Chilean and speak Spanish, today I started to update the application called CCCheater to work with CFW 4.81, I also added to show the temperature, console version, and a notification on the console when you connect without problems.

The original work is of Barthen, I just rework the app for CCAPI 2.7, I really do not know if Barthen is alive or not, because I use forums in Spanish like elotrolado.net for the scene, and I was looking at google, but I did not find any updates since 2014 from the barthen application.

Well that, all thanks to Barthen, and to the creator of CCAPI who left the documentation to implement the new library for 2.7.

It's been about six months since Sony's previous PlayStation Vita System Software revision, and following Adrenaline 3 / AdrenalineEasyInstaller updates they've now released PS Vita Firmware 3.65 which InYourHands believes is "almost certainly stability" with ShadielTH stating "Can confirm that 3.65 kills ARK-2. It boots up to a red screen then closes seconds after." while LonelyCrawler adds "It looks like they've changed the app icon of PS4 Link and the background image inside the app. That's pretty much it, from the looks of it." :cautiousxf2:
