Following the previous updates, PlayStation 3 developer @Alexanderss returns with 4.80 FERROX CFW v1.00 (Standard CEX) which supports PS3 4.80 Firmware with details below.

It's just a custom firmware for the PS3 itself, so it doesn't modify games although depending on which game there may be mods for it that can be used with this CFW ;)
 
i have 2 questions:

1st - do i need to be a lower version to install this CFW ? like im 4.80 OFW do i need to be a lower version to install the 4.80 CFW ?
2nd - if the answer to the question above is "no" then my ps3 says everytime at 72% of installation "data corrupted" and i've tried many CFW.

If you are on OFW 4.80 then you can check this thread to see if your PS3 is downgradeable in order to install CFW like this on it.

To answer your question though, no you can't just install CFW 4.80 on top of OFW 4.80 hence the error.

Sorry if this sounds redundant but specific games, so would i be able to mod something such as GTA 5 or LBP would those work? and i'm guessing you would need an E3 flasher to even get a CFW among-st 4.80 or is there something else involved?

i have a FAT PS3 just to throw in the mix if it's anything. Thanks :)
